The door to the top floor of Flaming Bar opened, and Dominick walked in. Ignoring the flattering voices around him, he raised an eyebrow, looked around, and walked directly to the semicircular bar counter on the east side.

The bartender refilled Hayley’s half–full glass of red wine. She picked up the glass and took another big sip, feeling a little irritable and depressed.
