Chapter 152 Terrifying 

Once Lia calmed down, she realized her outburst was a death wish. 

Leonard wasn’t going to give her an explanation, and there was no justice to be had. She just wanted to vent her frustration. 

She pushed against him desperately, but he didn’t budge. His tall, sturdy frame was like an immovable mountain, and he couldn’t easily be pushed away. 

Lia panicked and shouted, “Bella! Bella, I’m here! Help!” 

Leonard looked at her like she was crazy and quickly covered her mouth. “Why are you screaming? I’m not doing anything to you. If you want to talk, then talk. There’s no need to call for help!” 

Lia’s eyes widened in terror as she struggled, making muffled sounds. After a moment, she finally stopped. Seeing that she had quieted down, Leonard cautiously warned, “Don’t scream. You want an explanation, and I’ve given you one. I still have work to do, so stop causing a 

scene. 

Lia nodded cautiously, tears glistening in her eyes. As soon as Leonard loosened his grip, she immediately yelled again, “Help! He-” 

Before she could finish, Leonard covered her mouth again. 

This time, he did it with his lips. 

Lia trashed wildly in his arms. The kiss from an unfamiliar man filled her with fear. In her panic, she scratched his pale neck, leaving behind several red lines. It seemed like he didn’t notice as he just wanted her to calm down. 

Suddenly, Lia’s body went limp. Leonard sensed that something was wrong and released her, When he saw her pale face and rapid breathing, he realized what was happening. 

“Is your illness acting up?” 

Lia trembled as she nodded. She leaned against him and said in a voice that was barely a whisper, “M–My medicine… in my bag… Hurry… 

Leonard quickly dumped the contents of her bag onto the floor and found her emergency medication in no time. After helping her to take it, he softly asked, “Do you need to go to the hospital?” 

Lia shook her head. She was still pale and unable to stand without leaning on him. “No… I’ll be fine in a bit. Just… stop messing with me. I made a mistake, okay? I just want to date…” 

Leonard paused. He was about to say something when Bella finally arrived/She was startled by 

the scattered items and Lia’s condition. 

“What happened?” 

Leonard cleared his throat and said, “Her… heart condition acted up again. You came at the right time. You’re a doctor, so you can take care of her. I have to get back to work, so I need to 

go.” 

And just like that, Bella ended up taking over to care for Lia. 

Once Leonard was out of earshot, Lia urged her, “Come on, let’s get out of here! That was fucking terrifying!” 

Back in the car, it took Lia a while to calm down. Bella asked, “What exactly happened? You were doing just fine, so how did your condition suddenly act up? I told you not to get too worked up. You need to manage your emotions.”
