Chapter 160 I’ll Decide How I Live My Life 

Leonard adjusted his tie. “Don’t worry about it. Dominic and I have been through life–and- death situations together, so this is nothing. No need to feel awkward. I actually live here most of the time… so you won’t be inconveniencing me at all. 

“I still have some work to attend to at the office. If you need anything, just ask the house staff. 

After Leonard left, the older woman led Bella to her temporary room. It had its own en–suite bathroom and was spacious enough to give her some privacy in this unfamiliar house. 

Leonard had thought of everything. 

As dusk approached, Bella received a call from Lia. “Bella, something weird is happening. Since this morning, some strange men have been lurking around my studio. They keep looking over, and they haven’t left all day. Am I being watched?” 

Bella’s heart skipped a beat. Could the Yates family be going to such lengths just to catch her? Were they using Lia as bait to draw her out? The thought of her friend getting dragged 

into 

this mess made her feel bad. She would never forgive herself if anything happened to Lia. 

Bella quickly said, “Lia, don’t leave the studio. Stay with your staff and don’t go anywhere alone. I can’t explain everything right now, but I’ll call you back after I make a call. Just wait for my message.” 

She hung up and immediately called Leonard, seeking his help. To her surprise, Leonard. revealed that those men were his doing. He had those men protect Lia from the Yates family 

Leonard’s attention to detail was impeccable. Bella only had Lia as a close friend, so it was likely the Yates family had done their homework. 

However, Bella had other concerns. 

After a moment of hesitation, she told Leonard about Diane’s visit to Lia’s studio. “Do you… really have feelings for Lia? I’m worried that if your family finds out you’ve arranged 

protection for her, they’ll pressure you. 

“That wouldn’t be good for her. Both the Yates and Sawyer families are dangerous for someone like Lia.” 

On the other end of the line, Leonard went silent. After a few seconds, he let out an exaggerated laugh. “What are you talking about? I’m only doing this because of you. You’re not just Dominic’s sister, you also saved my father. Anyway, if that’s all, I’ll hang up.’ 

Bella wasn’t sure what consequences her call would trigger. She had only told Leonard about Diane’s visit for the sake of Lia’s safety. 

Afterward, Bella called Lia back and explained everything, urging her to stay vigilant but not
