Chapter 174 Shocking News 

Bella had been clapping along with everyone else. But when she noticed Dominic standing still beside her, she noticed something strange about his expression and muttered, “What’s wrong? 

He didn’t respond. Instead, he pulled out his phone and quickly typed, “Don’t attend the wedding.” 

It was a message to lan. 

Upon seeing this, Bella became even more perplexed. It wasn’t until the bride responded to the priest’s question with “I do” she realized the bride’s voice seemed familiar and she had heard it before. 

A memory flashed in her mind. The last time she, Lia, and Oscar went on a trip, she ran into Ian and his ex–girlfriend in a heated argument. Although Bella hadn’t looked at the ex’s face at the time, she remembered her heartfelt cries and their conversations. 

As the realization hit her, she was stunned. “She’s Ian’s ex–girlfriend?” 

Dominic remained silent, but his expression was a mix of fury and something else. 

Given their seats, it would be too obvious to stand up and leave without causing a scene. Hence, Dominic didn’t storm out. 

Bella gently grabbed his hand, concerned that he might lose control. Dominic didn’t look at her but tightened his grasp on her hand as if trying to contain himself. 

Meanwhile, she silently prayed that Ian had received the message and would not show up. It‘ hadn’t gone well the last time Ian met his ex–girlfriend, who was soon to become his stepmother. She could still recall how much blood he lost that day 

As the ceremony came to an end, the doors to the hall opene had arrived. It was Ian. He had arrived and was dressed to impress.

His white doctor’s coat was gone, replaced with a stylish suit that transformed him into someone completely different. He no longer resembled a medical professor but rather the heir of the Clarke family. 

Ian’s face dropped dramatically when his eyes fell on the bride. Shock and a whirlwind of other emotions replaced his formerly calm demeanor. His steps faltered, and he couldn’t take another step forward. 

Meanwhile, Steven looked calm while the bride smiled with a trace of vengeance. 

The tense atmosphere lasted for less than 30 seconds. Then, Dominic released Bella’s hand, stood up, and walked over to Ian. When they got close enough, he murmured in a volume only the two could hear, “I told you not to come!”
