Chapter 251 She’s an Ugly Duckling 

Lia saw that Bella was struggling to choose, so she picked up a simple brooch and said, “I think this one looks nice. He doesn’t like anything too flashy, right?” 

Bella liked that one too, but when she saw the price, she started to get anxious. 

It was eight grand! 

“Maybe we should look at some other options?” Bella suggested 

Lia noticed the price as well and gasped dramatically. “Eight grand just for a brooch?” 

The sales attendant’s smile started to falter. “Well, we’re a branded store, so the prices won’t be cheap. If price is a concern, you can check out other regular shops.” 

Was she looking down on them? 

Lia nudged Bella with her elbow and whispered, “You should’ve guessed the prices wouldn’t be cheap when we walked in. Besides, he probably wouldn’t want it if it were cheap, right?” 

Bella sighed deeply and said, “Alright, I’ll take this one. Please wrap it up. Thank you.” 

When she swiped her card, Bella felt her wallet get significantly lighter. All the money she had worked so hard to save was nearly gone. 

Seeing Bella’s glum expression, Lia couldn’t help but gloat. “A woman who drives a luxury car is getting upset over a few thousand dollars spent on a brooch? No one would believe that! He spent 1.5 million dollars on you, so don’t cry over such a small amount, okay?” 

Bella sighed again. “I already bought it, so there’s no use crying over it. By the way, how’s your new studio coming along?” 

Lia paused before replying, “It’s going well. I’ve already paid Leonard for the rent, and I just got the keys to start the renovation. I told him I wanted a long–term lease, and he agreed. I was initially hesitant about renting from him, but he’s actually been a huge help.” 

Just then, Lia’s sharp eyes caught sight of Dominic. He was with a woman at a luxury watch counter. Lia’s eyes widened as she exclaimed, “What’s going on? Isn’t that Dominic?” 

Bella stopped in het tracks and followed Lia’s gaze 

It was indeed Dominic. 

Even from such a distance, Belle couldn’t mistake him. Among all the men she had met, Dominic was the only one who had a unique air when dressed in a suit. He was serious and dignified, exuding effortless elegance. 

But now, he was lowering his head and carefully putting on a pricey watch on the wrist of the woman beside him. 

The scene was particularly jarring 

Bella didn’t recognize the woman. The woman was tall and had curves in all the right places, and her long black hair was styled in perfect waves. She wore a chic beige trench jacket paired with sheer tights that highlighted her legs and a pair of matching beige high heels.
