Chapter 307 Humiliation
The boy gave her a disdainful glance, clearly not intending to be polite. “Heh, you’re still wet behind the ears. Do you think you can teach me?”
Bella felt awkward as she withdrew her hand, her lips twitching. “Should I thank you for saying I look young? I’m doing my job, so please don’t make this difficult. If you’re not interested in learning, I’ll start the clock for my hourly rate.”
The boy rummaged through his backpack and tossed a pile of cash at her. “Here’s your pay. Just leave me alone.”
She felt insulted as the bills scattered at her feet. The boy was belittling her. Controlling her anger, she took a deep breath. “This is your money, and since the work hasn’t started yet, I can’t accept it. Please let your guardian know if you’re unhappy, and I’ll leave.”

She turned away, but the boy called out, “What are you pretending for? My sister says you the kind of cheap woman who’d sleep with someone for a hundred dollars.”
Bella stopped in her tracks, shocked. What kind of family would raise a child like this?
Feeling slightly insecure under her gaze, the boy picked up a music sheet and threw it at her face for courage. “What are you looking at? Isn’t that true?”
Instinctively, she raised her hand to shield her face, but the sharp edge of the sheet cut into her skin, drawing blood.
The boy showed no remorse, instead bursting into laughter. “Haha! You’re so stupid!”
She fixed him with a cold stare. “Who’s your sister?”
He snorted dismissively. “Gloriana Klein. I’m sure you know her.”
Bella had figured it out. Had she known this was Klein Manor, she wouldn’t have come. “So, the one who found you a tutor was Gloriana, wasn’t it?
“Please tell her that while the Klein family still has some time left, she should enjoy flaunting what she can, or she won’t get another chance later. Also, she’s clinging to Dominic, but she lacks the status to even be acknowledged publicly.”
The boy, more mature than his peers, quickly lost his composure. “Shut up!”
Ignoring him, Bella bent down to pick up a hundred–dollar note and waved it. “This is for my medical expenses. Goodbye.”
As she made her way to the courtyard, the housekeeper who had let her in stopped her. “Miss, why are you leaving? You haven’t even started the lesson yet!”
Bella had no fondness for anyone from the Klein family, including the housekeeper, so she simply brushed past the housekeeper.
