Chapter 318 Dominic Is Cooking

Bella woke up, it was already past 5:00 pm. Pudding was sitting in front of her, holding her food bowl with a pitiful look on her face.
After feeding her, Bella’s priority was to fill her stomach. She gathered some ingredients and headed to the kitchen, only to spot a perfectly cooked steak on the countertop. She was momentarily taken aback.
The apron and spatula were not in their usual places, leading her to wonder if Dominic was the one who cooked this.
She had never seen him in the kitchen in the 20 years she had known him. Had the sun risen. from the west today?
As she placed the steak in the microwave, she noticed Dominic’s message. “The steak is cooked. Heat it yourself.”
Somewhere deep down, she felt an inexplicable stirring. He seemed out of his mind. It felt to her like they had broken up, but not completely. What was he really trying to do?
She disliked this kind of back–and–forth relationship, which made her feel conflicted. Wanting to provoke him, she deliberately sent him a message, “All the ingredients in the fridge were bought by someone else, and they were pretty expensive. Your cooking skills are subpar. What a waste.”
She didn’t mention that Felix bought them, fearing Dominic might take it out on him.
He replied quickly, “If you want to eat, eat. If not get lost.”
She couldn’t help but smile, wishing to see his angry expression.

Since she didn’t have to go to the hospital today, she settled in at home, reluctant to move. With food and drinks available, reading was an excellent option.
Around 7:00
pm, Sylvia unexpectedly showed up, carrying bags of groceries and panting heavily. “Miss, this is what Mr. Miller asked me to bring you. It’s everything you could need; it should last you a while.”
Bella was stunned, glancing at her fridge. “There’s no room. Take it back.”
Sylvia looked like she was on the verge of a breakdown. “No way! Mr. Miller insisted I deliver
if it doesn’t fit.”
Bella felt like she was going crazy. Did breaking up mean nothing to him? She wasn’t about to accept his kindness.
But the truth was… she couldn’t afford to offend him. She watched helplessly as Sylvia cleared. out her fridge and stuffed all the new ingredients inside until it was packed.
She pulled out the receipt from the shopping bags and handed Sylvia the money. “Take this to Dominic and thank him for me.”
Sylvia looked at the money as if it was burning her hand. “No, no! This is from Mr. Miller to you. Just accept it. I can’t take your money.”
Bella pursed her lips and said sternly, “I’ll refuse those things if you won’t take the money. You’ll still have difficulty explaining yourself if you take the groceries back. Just tell him this- move on.”
Sylvia reluctantly accepted the money and frowned as she left.
