1567 Fighting the Escaped Immortal(3)
'Yuan…" Xi Meili looked toward the direction of his battle with tightly clenched fists and a nervous face. She wanted to follow him so badly, but she knew she would only get in his way and convinced herself to stay in the room.
Meanwhile, Yuan and the Immortal continued to attack each other as though their lives depended on it.
"White Lance!"
The Immortal created over ten thousand spears out of spiritual energy in the sky before launching all of them at Yuan.
Seeing this, Yuan stopped moving and focused on blocking the attack. Using Dragon's Soul, he destroyed as many of them as he could and purposefully allowed some of them to hit his body.
Even with his godly body and Stygian Vest, the spears were powerful enough to penetrate holes into his body easily. Still, due to his regeneration ability, these holes would instantly recover, and in seconds, it was as though they never existed.
The Stygian Vest, as a treasure, also had a similar function. Unless struck by an attack strong enough to obliterate it completely in one hit, it would always recover.
The Immortal slowly increased their cultivation from the first level of Divine Lord to the peak of Divine Lord.
After an entire day of trying to kill Yuan with no results, the Immortal finally had enough and roared, "Ahhhh! I've had enough of you! I don't know what trick you're using, but I will not let this go on any longer!"
He released all of his cultivation, causing it to shoot to the peak of Divine King instantly. The Immortal's aura was so tyrannical that Yuan felt like someone was strangling him by the neck.
The difference between Spirit King and Divine King was simply too vast, even for someone like Yuan.
Without hesitation, Yuan tossed most of his cards onto the field. After releasing a deafening roar, Yuan transformed into his dragon form. However, he didn't feel that was enough and equipped the Celestial Visage.
"A Celestial-grade treasure! How in heaven's name did he acquire such a treasure in the Fourth Heaven?!" Kelan's entire being trembled after seeing Yuan pull out a treasure far beyond their current realm.
However, what shocked him the most was Yuan's transformation.
"Is he actually half human and half beast?" he wondered out loud.
"Just what the fuck are you?! How many more bullshit are you going to pull out of your ass?!" The Immortal exclaimed after seeing Yuan's transformation.
The Immortal was certain that Yuan was only at the Spirit King level, as he would have advanced his cultivation base long ago if he were higher. However, the fact that he hadn't meant that this was his true cultivation. Yet, this raised more questions. How could a Spirit King be on par with a Divine King?
The difference between their cultivation was so vast that no treasure or technique could bridge the gap—at least, that's how it should've been.
"I am not done yet!" Yuan suddenly said.
<God of War's Astral Arts!>
A massive avatar appeared, its frame big enough to completely obstruct the Immortal's view of the Purple Sea.
"That's ridiculous!" The Immortal cried out loud.
