"W-what a terrifying technique…" Lord Zi muttered, his voice trembling as he stared at the avatar. He could feel an overwhelming sense of dread emanating from it, his entire being shuddering in a mixture of fear and awe.
Although Yuan had initially intended to combine only Nine Supreme Swords and Asura's Blade of Execution, he found himself incorporating elements of God of War's Astral Arts into the mix.
"I call this technique… God of War's Final Execution."
Yuan made a subtle gesture, and in response, the avatar above Lord Zi raised both its arms. Without hesitation, it began slashing with its sword and stabbing with its dagger in a relentless assault.
Lord Zi enveloped his body in Immortal Qi, bracing himself as he raised his arms to block the incoming strikes. While he initially managed to deflect the first few attacks with relative ease, he soon noticed that each successive strike grew more powerful and increasingly difficult to withstand.
While the Nine Supreme Swords concluded with nine devastating strikes, God of War's Final Execution followed an entirely different principle. The technique was relentless, continuing its assault until its target was utterly obliterated.
What made it even more terrifying was its escalating power—each strike growing stronger than the last. However, this came at a significant cost, as every attack drained Yuan's spiritual energy. Moreover, the energy expenditure increased alongside the technique's growing strength, meaning the longer it lasted, the more difficult it became for Yuan to sustain.
At Yuan's current cultivation level, even if he could recover his spiritual energy in the blink of an eye, it wouldn't matter if a single strike demanded more energy than he could supply.
In the end, Yuan managed to execute God of War's Final Execution 20 times, cutting through approximately 60 percent of Lord Zi's Immortal Qi before exhausting the limits of his current capabilities.
However, this performance did not take into account Yuan's Chaotic Essence, a different source of energy that, if utilized, could elevate the technique to an entirely new and far more devastating level.
Lord Zi looked at his damaged Immortal Qi with a profound expression on his face.
'What a devastating technique. He's only a Spirit Sovereign, but he's managed to damage my— a Golden Immortal's Immortal Qi to this extent. He might actually have the capability to slay a Bronze Immortal with this technique if he increased his cultivation a little more.' Lord Zi thought to himself.
"What do you think? How would you rank this technique?" Yuan suddenly asked, his back soaked in sweat. "What do you think? How would you rank this technique?" Yuan suddenly asked, his back soaked in sweat. Lord Zi pondered for a moment before finally responding, "This technique is undeniably at least Mythic-rank. In fact, it rivals the strongest Supreme-rank martial techniques I've encountered, and I would rank it as such. Moreover, I believe there is potential to refine and elevate this technique to Celestial-rank in the future."
"Supreme-rank, huh? I guess that means I qualify for a promotion, right?" Yuan said with a smile.
Lord Zi fell silent for a moment before laughing out loud, "You are correct. I will keep my word and promote you. Congratulations, you've become the highest-ranking member of our Martial Tower in a record-breaking time."
"Thank you."
"Now that you have full access to the Martial Tower, where would you like to go?" Lord Zi asked.
"What's on the highest floor?" Yuan asked.
"That would be my private living quarters. Unfortunately, it is only accessible to me," said Lord Zi.
