"The treasure! Where is the treasure?!" Liao Tian bellowed as he flung open the large metal doors to his smithy with a resounding clang.
Inside, the young man was still fixated on Number One Under Heaven, his gaze locked onto the weapon as if bewitched. He had been inspecting it for hours, his expression a mixture of awe and obsession, utterly consumed by the masterpiece before him.
When Liao Tian's eyes fell upon Number One Under Heaven, his expression mirrored the young man's—filled with awe and fascination. He hurried over to the weapon, his hands trembling slightly as he hovered them above it, almost as if he yearned to touch it but didn't dare to. The sheer presence of the treasure commanded reverence, leaving him entranced.
"This! This is it!" Liao Tian exclaimed, his voice trembling with excitement. "This is what I've been searching for my entire life—the perfect weapon! The materials, the craftsmanship—it's beyond anything I've ever seen despite being a God of Creation at one point!"
Just as Liao Tian reached to touch the sword, it suddenly moved on its own, flying away.
"What the fu—" Liao Tian's gaze followed the sword until it landed in Yuan's grasp.
"Who are you?! How dare you touch my treasure?!" Liao Tian roared after seeing the treasure being touched by someone who wasn't him.
"Your treasure? That's funny, considering I was the one who brought it here," Yuan responded with a smile.
"You… You must be Yuan." Liao Tian narrowed his eyes.
"And you must be Liao Tian. What happened to that man you sent after me?"
"I killed him for failing to correct his mistake," he said.
"Is that so?"
"At least he'll be more useful as a weapon."
Hearing this, Yuan shrugged, "I don't understand your obsession with human weapons. Not only do they lack elegance, but they're nothing special."
"Who the hell are you to question my creations? You're just a nobody who somehow acquired a masterpiece. I was once the God of Creation!"
Yuan laughed out loud, "The God of Creation? With your level of skills? I doubt it."
Liao Tian gritted his teeth and shouted, "Hand over the treasure! You do not even qualify to touch it!"
"If I, its master and creator, do not qualify to touch this weapon, then nobody in this world would qualify," Yuan's voice echoed calmly through the room as he revealed this information.
"You created that treasure? That's a sick joke," Liao Tian sneered, not believing him even for a split second.
"Even if it was a joke, it's not as sick as your hobby and evil practices."
"Evil? Just because I use unorthodox materials does not make me evil."
"You think I am only talking about your methods? I was told that most of your human materials were donated, but after inspecting the materials myself, I confirmed that most of them are actually forcefully harvested."
"That's slander and a baseless accusation. Where is your evidence?"
"My evidence, huh?" Yuan said with a calm yet chilling tone. "Well, I've killed enough people to know the difference between someone who died a peaceful, natural death and someone who met a forceful, violent end." ƒгeeweɓn૦vel.com
