Hayden pursed her lips and said, “Go with me to the dinner banquet tonight.”
“Sure.”
Hugh did not refuse his sister. He asked, “Are you getting off work now?”
“Yeah.”
“Then so will I. I’ll head home and eat with you.”
The siblings usually lived separately in their respective houses, but they would occasionally go back to the old residence together.
Many times, Hugh would go to his sister’s house to eat. His sister was a picky eater, so the food the chef she hired made was exceptionally delicious.
Hayden did not say more and hung up the phone.
After walking out of the office, she asked her secretary, “Mr. Kevin isn’t waiting outside the gates again, is he?”
There were several hotels in Jensburg that belonged to York Corporation and were under Kevin’s administration. However, since those hotels were operating normally, there was actually nothing important for Kevin, the managing director, to deal with.
Thus, he had plenty of time.
Hayden was different. She was the President of Queen Enterprise, and she was so busy every day that she barely had free time.
She felt apprehensive at the thought of Kevin’s handsome yet roguish face, fearing that he would set up a large sea of flowers in front of the company again and openly declare that he would pursue her.
The reporters did not take photos of the sea of flowers he set up in the morning. However, since many people saw it when it happened, they took pictures and sent them to their circle of friends, which were then shared with others. In the end, the media borrowed the photos and used them.
Now, there were even enhanced versions of the photos going viral online.
The red picture infuriated her when she looked at it.
Hayden did not stop the tabloids from gossiping about her and Kevin because she knew that she could not stop them from reporting and that Kevin would continue to cause trouble.
Since it could not be concealed or suppressed, why bother trying? It would just be a waste of time.
She had thick skin anyway, so she was not afraid of excessive attention.
