Cupid's Arrow hit me hard! novel Chapter 2001

Duncan never conducted rehabilitation sessions whenever Liberty was present. He did not want her to see his pathetic state.

Sonny hummed in understanding.

Then, he asked, “When’s Uncle Zak coming out, Aunt Ser?”

Serenity looked toward the company building. She said, “He’ll be out in a few more minutes.”

She had told Zachary about fetching him from the office and having a meal together afterward. He would definitely get off work early.

As she spoke, Sonny pointed at the tall man walking out. He exclaimed happily, “Uncle Zak is here, Aunt Ser.”

He escaped Serenity’s hand and ran into the building.

Zachary just exited the company building. He had good eyesight, so he spotted Serenity standing at the company entrance with a bouquet. She was like a light that attracted him to go to her as fast as possible.

“Uncle Zak,” Sonny shouted as he ran.

Zachary turned to instruct the bodyguards, “Go and get the car. I’ll wait at the entrance.”

The bodyguards obeyed him respectfully. They stopped following him and went to the parking lot.

“Uncle Zak.”

Sonny dashed and arrived before Zachary in no time.

Zachary stepped forward and lifted Sonny.

“You finally got off work, Uncle Zak. Aunt Ser and I have been waiting for so long. She didn’t want to come in to give you a surprise. Are you surprised to see me, Uncle Zak?”

Sonny’s voice was crisp and loud. It traveled far, and people who heard him laughed.

They had never seen Zachary being around Sonny. They thought the cold and stern Mr. York probably disliked children and that children would fear him too.

Who knew that they were all wrong?

Their CEO loved children.

He greatly adored his nephew, Sonny, and treated him as his own.
