The assistant wrapped up the roses and handed the bouquet to Serenity.
Serenity made the payment, took the bouquet, thanked her, and said, “You should get back to work. I’ll send these to my husband first. I made him angry, so I have to coax him.”
The assistant laughed and said, “Go quickly, Mrs. York.”
All the men in the York family had to be coaxed.
Camryn had to coax Callum too.
They often heard Camryn secretly complaining about how a grown man like him acted like a narrow-minded little woman sometimes.
After leaving Spring Blossoms, Serenity headed to York Corporation.
She saw Camryn soon after arriving.
There was a car parked beside Camryn, and a man wearing sunglasses and a black mask stood beside her, seemingly talking to her.
Soon, Camryn smiled and let the man help her toward the car, apparently to help her get in the car.
The next second, Camryn threw the man’s hand off and turned to run.
The man struck the back of her neck, knocking her unconscious.
Seeing this scene, Serenity quickly floored the pedal and shot in front of the car. Then, she slammed on the brakes, causing the tires to squeal from the friction on the ground.
The person in the car and the man who tried to lead Camryn into the car instinctively looked up.
Serenity parked the car, got out, and ran over to kick the man wearing the black mask.
The man was kicked by Serenity and fell to the side.
Serenity quickly dragged Camryn down from the car.
