Just as Zachary entered the kitchen, someone knocked on the door.
Grandma May said, “Carry on with your work. I’ll open the door.”
She rose to her feet and opened the door, only to see Liberty standing there.
Liberty was holding a few bags filled with groceries. One could tell that she had just bought them from the market.
“Grandma May, when did you come over?” Liberty asked with a grin. She was delighted to see the old lady here.
“I just got here. As soon as I heard Seren got pregnant, I hurried over as I was worried that Zachary didn’t know how to look after Seren. I can’t stop worrying unless I look after her personally.”
Grandma May smiled cheerfully. She moved aside to let Liberty in. After checking out Liberty from head to toe, she praised with a smile, “Liberty, you’re looking prettier, and every movement of yours carries confidence.”
“Thank you for the compliment, Grandma May. I was born with good looks.”
Grandma May burst into laughter. “You’re right. Serenity and you are both naturally good-looking.”
“Where’s Seren?”
Liberty entered the house and asked for Serenity’s whereabouts since Serenity was nowhere in sight. She said, “Yesterday, Zachary told me on the phone that Seren is pregnant. He also shared the news with Aunt Audrey. Aunt Audrey and I were so pleased that we wanted to come and visit her right away.
“I remember Serenity and Zachary had gone to FC Manor in Annenburg. I thought that the couple was still there. Just now, I saw Seren’s Facebook story and found out that she’s in Brynfield, Wiltspoon. Knowing that the couple had returned, I hurried over.
“Since it’s early, I supposed they haven’t had breakfast, so I bought something to make breakfast for them. Grandma May, I think you haven’t eaten, have you? Let me prepare more food.”
While speaking, Liberty was about to walk to the kitchen.
Zachary came out of the kitchen in an apron.
