Cupid's Arrow hit me hard! novel Chapter 2629

“How many important matters do you still have to handle? Do you trust me? Do you want me to help you with it?” Kevin asked.

Hayden said, “There’s no need for that. Is Madam Fisher back in Jensburg?”

“She’s on the way from Jensburg Airport. It’ll probably take over forty minutes for her taxi to arrive.”

Kevin checked the time and said, “You still have about half an hour to work. After that, we can go to the hotel, and the timing will be just right.”

It would be dinner time by the time they arrived, and Madam Fisher would likely think that they coincidentally witnessed the drama unfolding without suspecting any of it was orchestrated.

“Do you want to go watch the show?” Kevin asked once again.

Glaring at Kevin, Hayden replied, “You’ve already told me. How can I not go watch such an exciting event? Of course, I want to see.”

Still glaring, she commented, “I wasn’t originally a person fond of drama. You’re a bad influence.”

Surprisingly, she agreed to go with him to witness the spectacle.

Kevin chuckled, “You’re just too serious. Life is short, a few decades at most. It should be easy-going and joyful. If there’s a good show, watch it. Like Josh, he often just sits on the sidelines, carefree. His mindset is excellent. Someone like him could easily live to be a hundred.

“Even when the sky is falling, he’ll just use it and cover himself like a blanket. You, on the other hand, carry too much burden on your shoulders, Hayden. For your own sake, I think you should openly admit you’re a woman. I believe once you clear that up, you’ll feel much lighter.”

Hayden retorted, “I’ve only said a word or two, and you’ve already dragged us into the profound meaning of life. Sit aside and don’t disturb my work.”

Kevin laughed, “Okay, I’ll sit aside. You focus on your work.”

He then turned to look at the office door and asked, “Hay, will someone come in without knocking, or like I just did, knock and enter without waiting for your response?”
