Darling, Don't Get Rid of Me novel Chapter 116

A black car was running steadily on the street. Bryant broke the silence that never existed before while he was driving.

“What’s wrong with you? You look more dead than alive. Others may regard it as my bullying!”

It seemed that Harriet had just gathered her senses again. As she looked up, the dispirited expression on her face disappeared immediately. “Nothing! I think I have the right to be depressed since I have just canceled a contract with Pleasure Media.”

Bryant sighed and asked jokingly, “You really did it! Then will you have to pay a large amount of penalty? Do you need my support? I am a man of conscience.”

“Come on! I dare not borrow money from Mr. Fox, a superstar, in case when being exposed in the future, your fans would do some crazy things to me.”

Seeing the woman feeling better, Bryant asked in a serious tone,

“Harriet, do you really decide to leave Pleasure Media? You may not have a better development after that. Besides, do you really have a relationship with Wesley Smith as they discussed on the Internet?”

Harriet curled the corners of her lips carelessly, “What do you think?”

“I definitely trust you. Did Wesley Smith force you to say the words?”

Harriet laughed at Bryant’s firm appearance, but still answered calmly, “No. Those are all truth. I was truly his lover, and occupied the high-quality resources shamelessly. However, I couldn’t be as popular as you. That’s my fate.”

Bryant was shocked for a while and then tried to comfort her, “Harriet, these words are not what you might say. I’m not used to you being so discouraged. Or for the sake of your bad emotion, let me treat you to a meal!”

Harriet’s eyes grew wide. “Bravo! As you said, I really feel hungry now.”

After the chat with Bryant, Harriet felt far more relaxed. It was true that the attention could be distracted by twitter.

The two covered themselves fully and went to a western restaurant with a pair of sunglasses.

The customers in this kind of gourmet restaurant were very quiet and no one paid attention to them. Even if they were recognized, they wouldn’t be disturbed deliberately. So they could follow their hearts while eating.

“How long haven’t you eaten a good meal?” Noticing Harriet eating devotedly, Bryant couldn’t help making fun of her.

Harriet looked up. “Both my mind and energy were worn out these days, so I can’t even have a good meal.”

While the two were chatting, Jack was sitting in a car near the restaurant, looking at the building with a deep frown.

He mumbled, “The president changed a car midway and left with Miss Brown, but asked me to track after Miss Clark. I really can’t understand why. Which woman does he prefer, Miss Brown or Miss Clark?”

Meanwhile, Camille and Wesley were having meal face to face in a fancy restaurant.

“Wesley, the food here tastes the same as before,” Camille began the conversation, “It seems that they didn’t change the chief.”

Then, she watched the man’s expression, but only found that he didn’t respond to her and even didn’t looked up as the words were not be heard.

Camille was a little unpleasant. So far, Wesley was the first man who didn’t mind her at all. Since many other men paid much attention on her while eating, she couldn’t accept Wesley’s attitude to her.

“What’s wrong, Wesley?”

Wesley finally looked up with alienated eyes. “You are not qualified to call my name.”

Camille was choked by the words, but then pretended to be generous with a smile. “Wesley, these words are too strange to me. Anyhow we used to be lovers, but now you are so indifferent to me. Is it because of Harriet?”

Hearing the words, Wesley stopped eating.
