Harriet didn't want to meet Wesley and was going to sneak to the bathroom. The director happened to see her and was surprised by her flushed face.
"Harriet, what is wrong with your face?"
Harriet suddenly felt a cold sight on her back which made her tremble. She knew who he was without turning around to check.
"It's okay, I was just accidentally hurt. It can be recovered after I wash it." Harriet smiled, straightened up and continued to wipe her face casually.
Wesley looked slightly cold when he spotted that Harriet was wearing a dirty costume and her face was swollen.
He instructed Charlene to take good care of Harriet and give her good scripts to play. She just canceled the contract directly then signed a small company to play such small roles. She made herself so embarrassed after all!
Why would she want to clarify the relationship with him so desperately?
"Wes…Wesley?" Seeing the man not responding, Irene handed him the milk tea. "I love this milk tea. If you don't mind ..."
"I don't have a sweet tooth." Wesley's eyes moved away from Harriet. His heart seemed to be broken and his tone was getting colder and colder. He left indifferently without paying attention to Irene.
Irene was standing with milk tea, angry and awkward.
She was Louisa's cousin. Even if she just was a distant relative. She thought she could get along with Wesley, or create some news with his fame, but he just did not care about her at all!
"Miss Whitty, I like sweet food. You can give the milk tea to me!" Harriet was happy to see the awkward Irene. She came over with a smile, "Your future brother-in-law doesn’t seem to like you!"
Irene threw the milk tea into the trash bin heavily and sneered at Harriet, "Didn’t you see he was too busy to talk with me?"
"Besides, I'm better than you! I have at least such a great brother-in-law, but you can't be with that kind of man for your lifetime!"
Harriet: "..."
She had been with Wesley for two years!
Irene might felt that she lost her dignity while chatting with Harriet. She just left with a cold face and irony. She was actually gloating over her swollen face.
Harriet smiled and said nothing.
She still had a long time in the future to make her revenge. Do not need to hurry.
The redness and swelling on her face would not disappear for a while. Harriet had to act the crowd actress so she could only cover it with a thick foundation. When she arrived in the field, a man came towards her.
"Miss Harriet." The man gave Harriet the small box, which seemed to be a salve. "This is a swelling ointment commonly used in hospitals. After you apply it, your face will be fine in half an hour."
The crowd around kept looking at them with curiosity.
"Thank you." Harriet didn't know the man, but could Alleness who sent him over. She just sneered and then threw the ointment directly into the trash can, and turned away.
Oh, Wesley just sympathized with her?
It was not a joke that she wanted get rid of him. She did not need his concern!
It was not until six o'clock in the evening that the crew stopped working.
Harriet had to go home by taxi as she did not have a motor home anymore. She smelled the fragrance of dinner as soon as she entered the house. Changing the shoes at the entrance, she talked to Colin, "I ask you to prepare for the enrollment test, have you done?"
"I finished it at three o'clock in the afternoon, and went out for a jog for an hour before I came back to cook." Colin brought the dishes to the table as Harriet was ready to have the dinner.
Seeing Harriet's red and swollen face, Colin frowned. "Harriet, what's wrong with your face, have you been bullied?"
Harriet touched her face, thinking that she hadn't removed his makeup yet bu Colin just recognized it. She whispered, "It's okay, maybe it was made during the filming. Let's eat, I'm starving."
"..."
Colin didn't say anything but went straight to take the medicine box and called Harriet to sit down. The swelling spray was gently sprayed on her face. It hurt but Harriet gritted her teeth and said nothing.
"Harriet, I'll pick you up after you off work." Colin said. Harriet took him to the garage to see the car before. He had learned to drive before and it is easy for him to get a driving license. "You are too tired on your own."
"You pick me up? You don't have a driver's license!" Harriet glanced at him obliquely. "You just need to prepare for the test. The company is already arranging an assistant for me."
"But......"
"I'm so hungry. I want have dinner!"
Harriet went to the dining room directly, boasting about Colin’s cooking skills. Colin could just sigh and say nothing. They sat down and enjoyed the dinner together.
Harriet usually read the entertained gossip news while eating and this time very subtle news broke out, saying that the daughter of the boss in Peaceful Gaining Group returned America and was going to hold a birthday party in a certain village next month.
The reporter took a sneak photo which showed only the side profile of the daughter. The picture and the silhouette of the woman that Harriet saw that day overlapped. Finally Harriet knew who she was.
