Chapter 18 Make A Bet Of Pledging To Marry Keith
Assistant Lynn kindly helped Dr. Sullen explain, "Miss Jefferson, I left my phone number to afford the payment when you were hospitalized two days ago. I didn't know about your hospitalization from Dr. Sullen until the hospital staff contacted me today."
Angelina raised up her head and took a look, "Really?"
Dr. Sullen gave a slight cough, "I'd like to do so if Miss Jefferson wishes me to tip him off."
Hearing that, Angelina, who had threatened to kill Dr. Sullen within three days, immediately smiled, "Didn't you have to make the rounds of the wards later? Dr. Sullen, you work so hard, and let me treat you to a cup of milk tea."
Wow.
What a sweet girl!
Dr. Sullen naturally had no reason to refuse, and chatted enthusiastically with Angelina about the flavor of milk tea he liked.
However, Assistant Lynn realized that something was wrong and immediately took Dr. Sullen away.
"Dr. Sullen, I want to ask you about something. Why couldn't I fall asleep every night and wake up on time every morning? So strange!"
"Hey, I'm not finished yet..."
Thud-
The ward door was closed.
Now there were only Keith and Angelina.
Keith looked up and found that Angelina's face was much paler than last night.
"Miss Jefferson, are you better now? If necessary, I can contact other senior experts for you."
Angelina's heart was still pounding as if the sequelae had not passed.
How could experts... come to cure an arrhythmical patient due to abdominals?
It was so absurd.
Angelina refused without hesitation, "No, thank you, Mr. Fuller."
Then she asked, "Are you busy now, Mr. Fuller?"
Keith replied in a low voice, "Huh?"
Angelina took a glance at the "marriage partner" and happened to look into his mysterious and noble eyes.
Curiously, it was Angelina who was betrayed by the "marriage partner", but now she still had a little guilty conscience.
"If Mr. Fuller has spare time, let's have a talk today. The delaying tactic is no help for the three of us."
"What?"
"Mr. Fuller, do I have to be so clear?"
Angelina sat up straight slowly, "The Jefferson family and the Fuller family have decided to form a matrimonial alliance, but Mr. Fuller is still in a romantic relationship with Rosalyn in such a situation, so we might part peacefully."
There was a moment of silence in the ward.
Keith looked at her quietly, as if expecting something. After a long silence, he asked, "Who do you think I am?"
Angelina sighed helplessly, "You don't have to cover it up anymore. The useless explanation couldn't cover the fact up. Now are you going to make up a lie and say you're not Ishmael?"
"I know you like an innocent lady like Rosalyn, so I deliberately provoke you and make you annoyed, and hope you can cancel the marriage."
"This is my fault. I should have made it clear to you directly. Shall we be sincere now?"
Keith heard her words, while what came to mind was the scene where she took the initiative to tease him at Night Siren.
It was that Angelina tried to seduce him into canceling the marriage.
But from the beginning, she was mistaken.
And she even didn't realize it until now.
Keith was speechless.
He frowned and said in a little helpless emotion, "Miss Jefferson, do you misunderstand anything?"
Angelina raised her lips slightly, "No, stop quibbling."
Keith still patiently explained to her, "I'm not Ishmael, Miss Jefferson, you mistake me for someone else."
Angelina smiled and said slowly. "A classic excuse of love rat: You misunderstand me, I'm not, I haven't done it."
Keith suddenly looked at her and was helpless by her serious attitude.
