Darling, I Submit novel Chapter 4

Chapter 4 Her Heart Raced

The criticism only intensified.

"Hmph! Her sugar daddy must have intervened."

"I knew it. Angelina must have some backers. Maybe she's being kept by some rich, powerful, and ugly men."

"Da*n it! She's so disgusting. She really can do anything for fame. I'm feeling sick."

That was how Angelina was labeled, and she was only offered roles as a vicious siren by media companies.

Angelina clicked on the chat box with her agent and replied with an emoji. of a cute nod.

Then she switched to another chat box and sent Mindy a sighing emoji.

Mindy asked, "What's wrong, sweetie?"

Angelina replied, "His voice is so pleasant, and he's so breathtakingly handsome. I almost fell for him. A crying cat head emoji."

Mindy texted, "Oh, my God! Sweetie, did you fall in love!"

Just after that, she retracted the message.

Then she scolded, "Screw that scumbag! Hmph! He's really disgusting! He only deserves that angelic bitch, Rosie. Angelina, he isn't good enough for you. You're the Siren of the Capital City. You can't fall for him."

Rosie was also an actress and debuted at the same time as Angelina. Rosie became famous for her role in a youth campus drama, which happened to be an adaptation of Mindy's unrequited love novel.

Taking advantage of her good relationship with the director and producer, Rosie expanded many of her scenes. She even had the male lead killed off, making the male second lead the new male lead, as she was aware that the male lead was based on Mindy's crush.

After that, she even explained to Mindy in a bitchy manner, saying that she had no intention of ruining the image of Mindy's crush.

Mindy sent a voice message in a serious tone, "Sweetie, there are charming gentlemen everywhere. Never ever fall for a scumbag! I'll show you a screenshot to wake you up."

Then, Mindy added, "Ishmael and Rosie have been together for a year, but because Rosie's career is on the rise and she has many male fans, they haven't made it public yet."

It was a screenshot of Rosie's Instagram post from half an hour ago.

Although no face was shown, one could see a man holding a glass of water for her.

Mindy cursed inwardly, "What a filthy scumbag!"

She said, "Angelina, you have the stunning face of a top female star and are much more beautiful than that angelic bitch. But now, you're being overshadowed by her and she even managed to steal your fiance. Angelina, the Siren of the Capital City, please fight back!"

Angelina chuckled and responded in a soft tone, "Got it, my famous scriptwriter, Mindy. Have you finished your script for today?"

Mindy replied with a sob, "Well, I'm rushing to finish it."

As Angelina was about to exit WhatsApp, her gaze fell on that black profile picture.

She stared at the chat box for a long time. It showed that the last conversation was three days ago.

Before hearing Might Keith's voice, Angelina didn't really have a complex about voices because no voice had really impressed her yet.

But Might Keith's voice tempted Angelina a lot.

His voice was melodious, and his breathing was seductive, making things personal.

Angelina listened to the two-minute trailer fifteen times.

His voice hit all of Angelina's sweet spots, and every sound made her cover her face shyly.

There wasn't any sweet talk. Just a simple moan from him made her heart race.

It was so tempting, and Angelina really loved it.

At 2 a.m., Angelina messaged her friend, who was working for the Character Voice business, and the response she got during the day was, "I asked the planning teacher for you, and he said that they signed a confidentiality agreement and cannot disclose any information."

After some inner struggle, Angelina decided to hook up with this big shot in the Character Voice business.

Angelina texted, "Handsome, can I ask you out?"

She thought she would be ignored, but to her surprise, Might Keith replied almost instantly.

Might Keith responded, "Huh?"
