“I just went out to grab something to eat.” Gisele stood up from her wheelchair and moved to the edge of the bed, sitting beside Angle. 

Concern flashed across her face as she noticed Angle’s red neck. “Are you having an allergic reaction? Your skin looks irritated.” 

“Um….” Angie’s expression tensed, and she awkwardly reached up to cover her neck. 

She hesitated, unsure how to tell Gisele about her allergy to peacocks. 

Gisele noticed Angie’s elbow was also red. Concerned, she stood up and rolled up Angie’s sleeve. “What happened?” 

Angie replied, “I’m fine; don’t worry. I just had a reaction to something. I took some allergy medicine, and I feel better now.” 

She guided Gisele back to a more comfortable position, her expression serious. “Stay put. I’ve got something important to tell you.” 

Gisele straightened up, looking puzzled. 

“You’ve seen Michael’s livestream, right? I reported him to the police, and they’ve sent someone to investigate it!” Angie growled. 

She believed that scumbags like him deserved to be behind bars. 

Gisele’s heart raced upon hearing that. She frowned and asked, “What did they find? 

Angie responded, “They suspect Michael orchestrated this, and whoever’s pulling the strings has a grudge against you.” 

Her voice grew louder with indignation. “You know who would hold such a grudge against you, don’t you?” 

Gisele fell silent as the outcome of the investigation confirmed her suspicions. 

“Gigi, what are you going to do next?” Seeing her silence, Angie sensed her inner turmoil. 

She knew that anyone else facing such retaliation from a mistress would likely struggle to cope emotionally and mentally. 

Gisele bit her l*p and muttered, “Let’s leave it to the police.” 

Even if there was evidence, she knew Dorian would defend Sierra. In the end, Gisele would be painted as the scornful wife.

She gently patted Gisele’s shoulder and said, “Alright, then. You should focus on recovering in the hospital for the next few days. Don’t worry about anything else.” 

Gisele nodded with a smile. 

Before getting into bed, she took an ointment from her bag and handed it to Angie. It was a formula she had developed. 

“If you encounter an allergen again, use this ointment immediately,” Gisele instructed. 

Angie nodded and tucked Gisele into bed before leaving. She didn’t want Gisele to get involved in the mess, but that didn’t mean she would go easy on Sierra. 

As she passed by Sierra’s ward, she saw her sitting pale on the bed while Dorian fed her fruit. 

Angie crossed her arms and leaned against the doorframe. 

She smirked and teased, “A beauty like you lost a limb at such a young age. Isn’t it pitiful? tired? You’re fighting to be the mistress while keeping up that fake facade. Don’t you ever get 

Sierra’s eyes began to well with tears when Angie’s sudden voice startled her. She looked toward the door pitifully. 

Dorian turned around. His icy face scanned behind Angie, hoping to glimpse someone else.
