When Gisele spun around, she saw Aspen and cast him an apologetic smile. “Sorry, I was held up due to my personal affairs. How is Mrs. Witham Senior doing?” 

“It’s alright. We’re already done with the hospitalization procedures.” Aspen pursed his l*ps and said earnestly, “During the following days, I’m afraid I’ll have to trouble you to take care of my grandmother. The doctor said her situation is not looking good, but herbal medicine can improve her condition. Still… 

this is not a long–term plan.” 

Knowing that this was her responsibility, Gisele said with a smile, “This is my job. There’s no need for formalities, Mr. Witham,” 

After they arrived at Deborah’s ward, Gisele learned about her condition from the doctor and started 

taking care of her diligently. 

From the moment she entered the ward, she didn’t stop working. First, she administered acupuncture according to the doctor’s information and wiped Deborah’s body afterward. 

When she had finished tending to Deborah, she fetched a bucket of water and started cleaning the 

bedside table. 

The tall and sturdy Aspen seemed redundant standing next to her, and he whisked out his phone to 

capture the scene in a picture. 

In the picture, Gisele looked very demure as she bent over and cleaned the bedside table. Although only. her profile was captured, the integrity she carried in her job was visible on her face. 

Smirking, he sent the picture to the group chat with Bernard and Dorian. “Thanks to Mr. Dorian’s recommendation, I found a pretty and kind caretaker. May I know if she’s still single?” 

After he sent the text, Bernard reacted with the sticker of a baby with widened, shocked eyes. “Doge!” he texted, tagging Dorian. “I’m going to kill you for this. How can you send my idol to be a caretaker? Prepare yourself for the death that awaits you!” 

He proceeded to send multiple texts tagging Dorian but received no reply. Only then did he calm down. When did you return, Aspy? Will you tell me what’s happening between you and my idol? Let’s have a drink at Stonebridge Pub tonight,” he texted. 

Stonebridge Pub was the largest and most luxurious high–end club in Hearthfield. It was established by Dorian, Bernard, and Aspen soon after they became adults. 

In the beginning, it was just a regular pub, but it took a dramatic turn in three years. Businessmen enjoyed conducting business negotiations in this place because it was fun but also had conference rooms, which was kind of a one–stop service for businesses. 

Aspen lifted his head to look at Gisele, who was cleaning on the balcony, before returning to his phone.” 

Sure. Tonight 8:00 pm at Stonebridge Pub.” 

After sending the text, he kept his phone and rolled up his sleeves. “Gisele, you don’t have to do any of

this. Your only responsibility is acupuncture on my grandmother. Leave the rest to the other caretakers,” he said with a gentle smile. 

“It’s alright. This is no trouble at all.” Gisele returned the rag she had just used to its place. 

The Withams paid her a high salary of ten thousand dollars a month. Although they said her job was to take care of Deborah’s health, she only needed to perform acupuncture on Deborah once a day and provide a menu for her therapy. The other expenses from the herbs were paid separately by the Withams.
