Under the moonlight. 

Anika looked up at Joshua’s face,her throat feeling bitter.“Mr.Conan,didn’t we have an agreement?” 

Joshua’s hand on Anika’s face paused. He met Anika’s clear and sparkling eyes. 

It seemed like Anika could burst into tears the next second. 

Joshua didn’t know why, but a sense of bitterness welled up in his heart. He moved his hand away,pulled 

back the blanket,got up,and left the ward. 

After coming outside,Joshua still couldn’t forget the unfamiliar look in Anika’s eyes towards him now. 

Mr.Conan? 

Joshua sat in the car,smoking, and called Payton. 

‘What day is it today?” 

It was 2 o’clock in the morning. Payton was awakened and heard this question that puzzled him. 

Payton thought for a moment and realized that he didn’t have anything to do today,so he got up to check. 

There were no collaboration projects today,nor was it any holiday. 

Payton happened to see a birthday trending topic on the computer. Payton just realized that today was 

Anika’s birthday. 

Payton called Joshua. 

‘Mr.Conan,today is Anika’s birthday.” 

Fortunately, when Anika married Joshua, Payton had checked some information. 

Otherwise, he wouldn’t have known Anika’s birthday. 

Joshua couldn’t believe it. He didn’t remember Anika’s birthday. 

No wonder Anika had such an attitude last night.

Payton saw that Joshua had not responded for a while and couldn’t help but ask, “Mr.Conan,did you prepare a gift for Anika?”
