Miss Raina, from the Schmitt family, and Anika were college classmates. After Raina graduated, she went

abroad. This time, shortly after Anika returned, she also followed sult and returned to the country.

“According to my investigation, Raina had a crush. It was a boy from her grade named Bowe Kibler.” 

“I suspected that she had Anika come to the blind date because of Bowe.”

Jaxon told Valentin everything he knew.

He changed into a new outfit. When he went downstairs, he saw Joshua and Violet standing together, like

a couple.

Valentin hesitated for a moment and did not tell Joshua about today’s events.

Anika received a call from Raina. Raina’s voice sounded disappointed as she said, “Anika, I am coming

back tonight.”

“What happened? Did you find him?” Anika asked.

Raina’s throat choked up.

“Um,l found him,” Raina paused for a moment, seemingly nonchalantly saying, “But he has someone else now.It’s completely over between him and me.”

Anika didn’t know how to comfort her.

Raina changed the subject.“How is your family?They didn’t give you a hard time,did they?”

“It’s hard to put into words.”

Anika glanced out of the window. The sun was setting.

“I came over to see you and Evan in the evening. We’ll talk then.

“Okay.”

Midsummer night.

After Raina came back,she concealed her disappointment and stopped mentioning Bowe’s matter.

Anika and Evan were both considerate.Instead of asking her, they told her about the blind date they had

today.

“Valentin?How could it be him?If only I had asked for clarification earlier, Raina sighed.
