Tyler guessed Athena wouldn't have the guts to hide another guy. After all, she seemed so into him, waking up early every day to cook for him at his villa.
But soon enough, he realized he shouldn't be fixating on whether Athena was seeing someone else.
Even if she was, so what? He was just having a bit of fun with her. It's not like he'd stop just because she had a boyfriend. No way. She had thrown herself at him, and until he was bored, he wasn't letting her go.
"I was going to borrow your laptop to tweak the script, but looks like I'll have to head back home."
Athena quickly offered, "You drank last night. Let me drive you back."
Getting pulled over by the cops would be a hassle, after all.
Tyler nodded, feeling not the least bit guilty about making her go out of her way. She was doing it willingly anyway.
After dropping him off, Athena took a cab back herself.
Tyler had barely settled into his couch and started editing a few lines when his phone rang.
"I heard from Bert that you've been keeping a lady hidden away. Who's the girl that made our Mr. Bennitt change his ways?"
Tyler knew Bert couldn't keep a secret, and had already exaggerated his situation with Athena.
But change his ways? Not a chance.
"I've never planned on changing my ways. Don't believe everything you hear."
"But Bert said you're totally smitten, eating her cooking every day. Do you need a chef at your villa or what?"
"That's because her cooking is genuinely good. If you have time, you should come over and try it."
His friend seemed intrigued but was more curious about Tyler's feelings for this woman.
"Sure thing. What's her name? I need to know who this culinary genius is."
"Athena, a small-time actress. You probably haven't heard of her."
There was a pause on the other end. "The name sounds kind of familiar."
Tyler chuckled dryly, "That's the same line you use every time you hit on a woman."
"Hey! I'm serious. The name rings a bell, just can't place it right now."
"Take your time to figure it out. I've got a script to work on, no time for idle chatter."
"Okay, one last question. Who is she to you? A housekeeper? A chef?"
A glint of disdain flashed in Tyler's eyes. "At best, she's just a sycophant."
"Tyler, I knew you were a player, but this is a new level. Impressive."
"Look who's talking. You've got your fair share too. But I have to admit, Athena's more dedicated than the rest."
If Athena could hear this conversation, she'd probably feel terrible. Luckily, she couldn't.

The readers' comments on the novel: Dear Ex-wife Marry Me novel (Maja)
Author, would you story about Ryan settling down and another story on Eric regaining his body and memories back from Patrick, and Eric also settling down as I find it so disheartening for him to have gone through what he went through at the research institute, and I'll like for him to get his "golden boy" life back though, not at the detriment of Ian....
When will the author update to finish Beck's story? What about Dylan and Tyler's love lives? Also, I'll like the author to write on Wilma and Elvis ending up together as she was quite persistent in pursuing him. And Shawn's story, Cornelia Sullivan and Omar Casson. Also, a little write-up on Jeff (Ian's assistant) love life, too. Thanks, author for updating....
When will get update?...
What is wrong that the author has not updated this novel in over a month or is there somewhere else that I can continue reading the novel from chapter 1951 upwards? Do tell, please. Thanks....
