Chapter 0109
Kala POV
We were now in the hospital, having had an awkward breakfast between us, even Samson and Freya were quiet.
Freya kept glancing Alora’s way and I could see them mind–linking a couple of times.
Even I was quieter than usual. Usually the conversation flows freely at meal times with Father and I, but I was still in a level of shock.
Father seemed unaware of the tension around him, even of Samson trying to gain my eye contact to understand what was happening. I hadn’t had a chance to pull him aside and update him, all he knew was Alora was my twin miraculously returned home to us.
A twin he also had no idea even existed.
My mind was racing, flashbacks coming forward from my childhood…guilt settling in from having a childhood with my Father. Memories that Alora didn’t share.
And why…why did someone lie to Father at the birth, unless they thought she had died as Mother did, and then some kind of confusion ensued.
We were now at the hospital, Father keen to get the blood tests completed before announcing of his lost daughter’s return.

“This will sting!” The doctor states, bringing me out of my own thought process. The only way to gain blood from a werewolf was to use instruments laced with silver.
He was right, it stung like hell and I couldn’t help the grimace that followed.
Once he has finished with me I exit the room, finding Father and Alora waiting outside.
He was talking about Mother, of what she looked like. How we both resemble her more than him…that we have her beauty.
I take a seat oppostite them, rather than interrupt their conversation. Alora seemed to be enjoying hearing of mother, I didn’t want to spoil that for her. Even though it felt uncomfortable.
It pained me to share a mother I never knew, to know that she was also somebody elses.
I was thinking selfishly, Alora must be questioning every detail of her own childhood and the parents that raised her. Parents she had no idea had adopted her until recently.
I needed to think outside of my own hurt, if the blood tests came back confirming the positive match, I’d have be more sharing. I’d have to start being more open to Alora.
No matter what had passed between us, she was apart of me and I had to accept that.
“They are ready for you…” I call out to her when their conversation comes to a natural stop. Father looking up only just noticing my return.
He stands up walking over to check my arm. a growl forming in his throat. It was heavily bruised, the silver leaving its imprint on my skin for now.

“I’m fine Father…they had to use silver to extract the blood. Alora, it will hurt but it wont last for long.” I smile at her, being honest but not wanting to worry herl
“Would you like me to come with you?” I offer, as her eyes take in my arm.
“No…thanks, I’ll be fine.”
As Alora enters the Doctor’s room and closes the door behind her, Father takes the seat next to me.
“Why didn’t you tell me about her before?”
1…” I try
y to think of my answer without informing him of every detail Alora and I had retrospectively been through.
How our lives crossed already before we even met, how looking at things now, the shared mate bonds made sense….if we were twins.
“I didn’t really know what we might be to each other. I thought it was just a coincidence..”
“You didn’t feel a connection with her?”
“I do now..but her coming here is the first time I have ever met Alora awake.” I shrug.
“Awake?” He creases his forward at my words.
“Father, I need you to know something.” I turn to face him, taking his hand in mine.
