Chapter 0177
Hector POV
“On what is yours…”
Pinkish tones enter onto her cheeks, as she blushes under my intense gaze.
Something had switched inside of me seeing his hands on her, my wolf was pushing harder for me to finish the marking ritual, for me to claim her.
But I can’t force her.
She has to go through her first heat cycle yet, she’ll struggle to deny the bond between us then. I have marked her, it was only a matter of time before my mark as an alpha gives her that unbearable first heat.
I watch as she picks up the towel and walks into the bathroom, putting it in a laundry basket. Seeing her blood now as stains on the towel, my body tenses as I want to kill him.
I push on the mind–link to my warriors that were holding him in the cells.
“Alpha?” They collectively respond.
“Is he talking?”
“No Alpha, not a word.”
“I’ll be down shortly.”
“Hector..” Kaia’s soft palm cups the side of my cheek, the eruption of tingles bringing me back in the room with her.
My wolf has also slipped through the veil more as I was mind–linking. My concentration on the damn veil momentarily lapsed.
“Don’t move.” I tense at her touch. One wrong move and I’ll claim her, I know I will.
“What’s wrong?”
“I’m trying to control my wolf, keep him at bay.”
“Why?”
“Because…he wants to finally claim you as his.”
“He already has..”
“No Kaia, he has marked you, not claimed you.” My chest rumbles.
“Hector..” Her voice is breathy, unbelievable…yet again she is trying to deny this.
“You are mine Kaia, you’ll realise it soon enough.” My hand trails up her arm and I swallow hard when red finger marks remain from his touch.
I’m going to kill him.

Some of my best men were holding Samson in the cells, waiting for my arrival. I knew what to do, he claims to be a rogue but I don’t believe him. Somebody had been keeping him in comfort, somehow he had heard about Beckett’s death, that she was here.
A rogue wouldn’t have heard of Beckett’s death, not this soon. He was in communication with someone and I want to know who.
Entering my cells, I can already smell his blood permeating the air I breathe. My men are the best, the best for a reason. Our pack’s reputation wasn’t unjust…we protected our own and severely punished those that seeked to harm one of ours.
He’s chained to the wall, like the dog that he is but in human form. His face had already been bruised and cut from my men’s touch…things were about to get a lot more bloody for him.
His smirk as I enter is the wrong thing for him to do.
“Why are you here?”
“I needed to know…” He stops talking when I grasp his jaw in my hands and squeeze tight.
“To know what?
“That she was safe.”
“Her safety is no longer your concern.”
“It will always be my concern…” His words rattle me.
He still thinks he has a place by her side, as her beta.
‘My grip tightens, my fingers crushing in on his jaw as he struggles to breathe through the pain.
Needing him to still talk, I release my grip but land a blow to his jaw.
His body throwing back and the back of his head hitting against the solid brick wall.
“Who sent you?”
“Nobody sent me.” He growls out pulling at his chains, his wolf trying to fight me.
“But somebody told you that Beckett was dead, somebody has kept you well informed and well dressed.”
“I returned back to the pack that houses me…”
“A pack that we know nothing about, a pack that isn’t part of the alliance…So how did you find out about Beckett.”
