Chapter 0195
Chapter 0195
Kaia POV
7 want a gun.” I demand.
“No.” He growls at me, his demonic eyes even more monstrous with the flashing overhead lighting.
“Hector… Give me a bloody gun.” I insist, putting my hand out expectantly.
He glares at me and I can feel the fight between our alpha auras. There was no denying how strong he was, stronger than me. I push harder on my aura, trying to push his back into him.
It was like an invisible weight trying to push down on me. His command over me was gone, the moment! accepted my position as the alpha of the nightshade reformed pack, his command withered away.
I could leave him at any time now, leave his pack…my body wouldn’t fight me from leaving him now.
“You aren’t trained.” He responds in a matter of fact manner.
“Does that matter?”
“Of course it matters.” I could see we weren’t going to agree on this and I didn’t have time for another argument, not in the middle of a dangerous invasion. My warriors were armed, I would need to trust in them.
“Clear.” We hear a male’s voice shout out from the corridor, Hector pulling me into him as we rejoin the gathered warriors.
“The floor is ours Alpha.” One of the Amber Desert warriors confirms to Hector.
“Excellent, let’s move up.” Hector orders.
We push up the stairs onto each level, moving swiftly to take out any threat inside knowing the majority of their warriors are outside, locked outside…unable to get in with the systems down. Our plan had worked perfectly thus far.
As we continue to secure each floor, the ratio of warriors to civilian pack members lessen, meaning we had almost taken the building, almost taken the pack.
All that was left was the Alpha floor, the pent house suite.
Smoke cannisters filled with wolfsbane are used to eliminate any threat on this level. We were told to wait back, for the smoke to settle…the warriors having masks to push forward through the smoke. This is where the Alpha Marc would be housed, would be hiding.
The warriors move in first, working as a unified unit even though they are from mixed packs and do not share a collective pack bond. Alora has done well to train the Amber Desert Warriors to work alongside our fighters.
“Clear!” A warrior pushes on my mind–link, updating me with the final part of the mission.
Is he there?” I ask back.
“No Alpha, no sign of him. No one is here.”

I start to walk down the corridor with Hector, Ezra and Alora hot on my tail.
“He’s not here.” I update Hector, who moves past, in front of me and enters the alpha rooms before I do. If he wasn’t here, where was he.
The alpha rooms were decorated like a bachelor pad; black leather sofas, a dark humid living room, gadgets and the most on trend technology richly filling the space.
Whoever this alpha was, I’m sensing we may not see eye to eye on things. On things that matter.
“Alpha? You need to see this.” A warrior pushes on the link again and I move to join a group of them in what seems to be the alpha’s office. The lights were still flashing as the taste of the wolfsbane gas grenades remained in the air. My eyes streaming from the lack of a mask.
“What is it?” I look around the desk and floor hoping to find this alpha cowering at our attack when I see it.
“Welcome my Luna 2421“…written on the wall in red paint.
What the… how did he know I would be here.
I step closer to it, a metallic smell coming off the paint
