Chapter 0073
Chapter 0073
Than POV
“You were designing them Mother, you must have sent one out to him…”
“Bite your tongue my boy, I don’t fuck up.” Mother hisses back at me.
“Medea, this is serious. Did you send it out?” Dad was here now, he has moved back into the Alpha house after shutting down any plans for a marking ceremony.
“No, of course not.” Mother shoots back, acting insulted at the question.
“You were designing them Medea…”
“Yes Damon, but I didn’t send them out. I remembered what Than said.”
“What did Than say?”
“That he wasn’t ready to lose the mate connection to Kaia, that he needed it to get her back.”
“Thanks Mother!” I could feel Beta Zane trying to push on the mind-link. I block him out, it would have to wait. My hands were rather full at the moment.
“I’m not lying to your Father Than.”
No you would never dream of doing that would you…
“No, but you’re happy to lie to me.”
“Your Mother asked me to intervene, so
I intervened.”
“You went to his pack…do you know how weak that makes us look.”
“Weak? Did you just call your Father weak?”
“Enough…” Dad roars slamming his fist against my desk, the loud bang echoing through my office.
“…both of you. Maybe I am weak son, maybe giving you the pack was the wrong choice.” Dad sighs.
“Damon!” Mother stands up to protest but Dad put his hand out to silence her. Warning her not to push his patience. Dad was a patient man until you push your luck with him.
“You had no right to see him.” I growl, I felt betrayed.
“I have every right!” He roars getting into my face.
“You need to drop this Than, you need to find another way to cure Alora.” Dad had never been fully supportive of my plan when I brought Kaia back from college. But he didn’t go against me…until now. 2
“There is no other way….”
“Kaia is a member of the Dark Phantom pack now, he won’t give her up.”
“You’re right darling as always, Than…you need to listen to your Father, We will have to think of another way.”

Chapter 0073
Mother was always different when Dad was around…always watching her words. I know she must have sent that invitation, she’s always liked to get under Hector’s skin.
The household has been a tense environment since Hector turned up at the pack gates. Alora was barely talking to me for how I ordered her immediate removal from the gate. And to top things off I was furious at Dad for going behind my back and visiting Hector.
Since then, making a promise that he wouldn’t allow the marking ceremony to go ahead right now. He had no right!
I needed them gone, I needed both my parents away from here so that I could start to fix things with Alora. Their presence maintained that awkwardness that has descended on the Alpha home.
Zane suddenly bursts through the door, a growl emitting from me from the unwanted disturbance.
“Not now Zane!” I moan, pinching the bridge of my nose in frustration..
“Alpha, you had your mindlink blocked.”
“And for good reason Zane. Can you not see we are busy!” Mother shouts at my beta.
“What is it Zane?”
He looks to me, before his eyes dart to my parents. Whatever he wanted to say, he wanted to say in private.
“Just spit it out!” Mother shrieks from impatience.
“Alpha Hector is at the gates demanding entry.”
“Again?” What did he want this time. It had been a month since his dramatic arrival. Thankfully Dad hadn’t been informed of the actual issue at the gate, but Hector had contacted him to promise war if the marking ceremony took place.
“What do you mean again?” Dad asks looking between Mother and me.
“He wanted access about a month ago, but I refused….when he received the invitation.” I stretch my spine out tall, standing by my decision.
“I told you he should always be welcome here. Let him in!” Dad turns to Zane, giving his command. He may not be acting Alpha anymore but he still had the ability to command my pack members, unless I denied it. I nod to Zane, giving my approval for him to follow Dad’s command.
It doesn’t take long for Hector to be escorted to the office, 4 of my warriors and Zane remaining with him. His dark thunderous aura is strong enough to almost shake the corridor walls. What’s his problem now…
As the office door bursts open, a demonic growl leaves Hector before I am thrusted against the wall, my throat held tightly in his hands. I push him off me, only for him to turn me and pin the side of my face against the wall…his lips at my ear.
“I know what you did, you f**ucking disgust me
