She took the report from the doctor, unable to comprehend how conditions like 

malnourishment and severe depression would appear on Alaric because he had 

always been omnipotent to her. Also, he seemed to have never gotten sick or 

suffered health issues. 

After glancing toward the ward, she asked the doctor, “What’s the next step for him? 

Is he going to be hospitalized?” 

“According to the patient’s condition, I recommend he get hospitalized for better 

recuperation. Otherwise, his condition might worsen if he continues like this.” 

“How did he get such severe gastritis?” 

“For conditions like this, it might be due to the patient having irregular meals and 

alcoholism. Those are harmful to the stomach. Does your boyfriend drink a lot?” 

The term ‘boyfriend‘ made Victoria frown, but she thought there was no need to 

explain their relationship to a doctor, so she nodded. “Yes. He tends to drink a lot.”

lively. Perhaps Victoria was too eye–catching because everyone quieted down in 

unison after she entered the room.

Once he finished his rants, she helplessly spoke up, “Can you hear me out?”
