Desperate Lovers novel Chapter 162

James didn’t pay attention to Roland and looked at Angela for a second before the doctor and the nurses took her out of the ward and soon disappeared in his sight.

"Don’t be offended. But I heard that you refused Angela some days ago. Why did you just..."

Roland did not finish his words but he had expressed clearly by bending down to pick up the split gown on the floor.

James took over the pieces of clothes from Roland. He was not gonna explain. Instead, he took two steps to the left to avoid Roland and went out of the ward.

But Roland followed him and stood in his way.

"Excuse me, Dr. Roland."

James said politely, but his eyes were filled with anger.

"I could. But I won’t."

"I have no idea what you will do at the emergency room considering what you have done to Angela." snickered Roland with his shallow dimples.

James glanced at him with a cold look.

"You'd better listen to me if you want me to cure Angela’s leg, Mr. James." said Roland, pointing to the chair,

"That’s it?" James doubted it.

Roland retorted raising his eyebrows,

“What else could it be?"

The atmosphere was depressed in the ward.

James moved his eyes from Roland and walked out of the ward with the torn hospital gown in his hand.

Roland frowned and stopped James again with a serious tone,

"Mr. James, don’t you worry that I may not continue to cure Angela’s leg if you don’t listen to me and insist on going out?"

James glanced at him indifferently. Then he frowned and got hold of Roland’s shoulder, and threw Roland onto the floor.

Roland slowly rose from the floor and sat there rubbing his aching body. Then he snickered,"It seems that you don’t care that much about Angela's leg, Mr. James."

"Auntie Susan will not let you get away with it, if you don't cure Angela's leg."

James reached out to help him stand up from the floor.

Roland patted on his painful butt and forced a smile. "In terms of plotting, a doctor can never beat a businessman." said Roland. The conversation kind of eased the situation.

He looked at James and continued,
