Desperate Lovers novel Chapter 361

Having wiped his sweat, Roland suddenly thought of something and explained, "Miss Angela, please don't get me wrong. You are not among what I called irrelevant people."

Angela replied, "Oh."

"It seems that Angela is special to Dr. Roland," Luna joked.

Roland laughed, "Of course. My auntie regards Miss Angela as the apple of her eye. She urged me once and again to take good care of her. So surely she's different from others."

"Nowadays, there are seldom young people who would listen to their seniors as Dr. Roland does," Luna said. "My parents always remind me to try to get along with what they call the children of their friends.

"But if I don't hit it off with them, I can't force myself to take care of them or get along with them."

Roland rolled several silver needles and said, "What Mrs. Chante said does make sense. If I couldn't get on with Miss Angela, I'm afraid I wouldn't treat her as my friend."

He emphasized the word friend.

Luna responded with nothing but a smile.

Meanwhile, Roland was asked to leave for a while for some work. An hour later, the young nurse came to pull the needles out for Angela.

As she was doing it, the young nurse moaned all the time, "This time Dr. Roland was really irritated by me. He didn't smile at me as usual when seeing me ... Miss Angela, since you are close to him, could you please intercede with him for me? I didn't mean to annoy him literally."

"Don't get so nervous. Dr. Roland is not a narrow-minded person. As long as you keep doing what he tells you to, that will be alright," Angela answered.

The young nurse nodded gloomily, remaining a worried look on her face.

Not knowing when Roland would be back, Angela went to the operation room with Luna instead of waiting.

The doors were closed. Lorenzo's operation was ongoing.

The two sat outside waiting, as Luna asked, "Angela, what do you think of Dr. Roland?"

"Luna, are you wondering whether I would fall in love with Roland if I hadn't met James?" Angela questioned.

After a short hesitation, Luna nodded.

"But there is no if at all. The fact is James occurred and I like him. For now, I haven't thought about having a crush on anyone else." Angela answered bluntly.

Luna sighed and didn't say anything.

"Luna, you started with blaming James for not taking good care of me today, and then you went on to lavish praise on Roland. Are you trying to get Roland and me together?" Angela had intended to avoid this question, but there was always something you couldn't avoid no matter how eager you were.

After staring at her for a while, Luna looked away and said, "... I do have that intention."

Angela tucked her lips with her head hanging down and pinched the corner of her coat with her fingers repeatedly.

She thought Dr. Roland was excellent, yet she didn't expect their relationship that way.

"Angela, the netter chatting with mom claimed that Mr. James asked him to do that ... they are not murderers exactly, but they contributed much to mom's suicide. What are you going to do?" Luna said.

Angela's brow furrowed with a mess in her mind.

What was she going to do?
