Divorced but Delighted novel Chapter 357

Chapter 357 Transfer

“Mr. Barton!”

Assistant Evans was shocked and immediately stood up straight, looking like a student who had done something bad when he saw the dean.

Jaquan did not look at him. Instead, he glanced at Wanda indifferently, who was still sitting on the chair.

In comparison, the latter was much easier.

She didn’t get up. Instead, she turned over the office chair unhurriedly and said to Jaquan with a smile, “It’s Assistant Evans asking me about something at work. He brought a document to you. We didn’t talk about anything else.”

Assistant Evans also came to his senses in an instant and hurriedly said, “Yes, yes. I’m here to ask.

Wanda a few questions and bring you a document!”

He held the document to show his position, indicating that he was not talking about anything else during working hours.

Jaquan was not angry because they were chatting.

He glanced at them and said after a long while, “Wanda, come in. Take the documents with you.”

As soon as he finished speaking, he turned around again, leaving behind a half–closed door. His intention was obvious.

“Wanda…”

Assistant Evans had not yet recovered from the shock.

Wanda gently got up from the chair and tidied up her clothes. She was as gentle as ever, and even her smile was the same as before.

“Give me the document.”

She smiled at Evans, took the document, and calmly pushed the door open into the president’s office.

Jaquan was not at his desk.

The tall figure stood in front of the French windows, looking a little lonely.

Hearing the sound of the door closing, he turned around.

“Mr. Barton, I’ll put the documents on the table. If you have any problems, remember to communicate with Assistant Evans.”

She gently placed the document in a corner of the desk and straightened her back.

Jaquan was stunned.

He was very sure that she had made a serious decision.

She was about to leave him and no longer cared about anything.

Even a document had been sent to him at his request.

“Why?”

Jaquan stared blankly at her for a long time. Probably because he still couldn’t accept the news that she was leaving, he was confused.

His eyes were burning with passion and sincerity, making it so that no one dared to look straight at him.

She lowered her gaze and said, “Mr. Barton, it’s working time now. I don’t think we should talk about this.”

“Then I’ll give you a holiday. Let’s go out and talk.”

Jaquan walked over from the French window, looked through the document casually, and signed his name on the last page.

When the document was closed, he raised his head and stared straight at her..

“Your salary is ten times higher than usual. Can we have a chat?”

“Mr. Barton, are you… spending money to buy my time? Or…” She raised her eyes gently, looked. into his eyes with a smile, and added, “Or are you buying me?”

Her self–deprecating tone made Jaquan frown, but he could tell that there was something else behind it.

“Wanda, that’s not what I meant.”

There was a hint of helplessness in his eyes.

“I just… don’t know how to have a good chat with you. If you feel offended, I apologize to you.”

His attitude was very sincere.
