I stared at Kai dumbfounded. All kinds of emotions were covering my conscious and heart, shock, anger, confusion.... the need to run? And while I was going through all those strange feelings Kai had a strange, overly happy look on his face. And here I was, slowly dying in terror. When I could not make myself confident enough to utter out even a word, he took my silence as acceptance & after grabbing my hand, started pulling me towards the door.
Not having any other option, I also started following him. Staying inside the room may never solve my problems. The least I could do was to check out where I actually was and what sort of shit I had gotten myself into. Kai took me towards the gorgeous marble stairs and then downstairs in an enormous hall.
While walking with him, I merely glanced at my surroundings. It looked like I was in a big castle. A big golden color castle. The walls were covered with beautiful, modern, and ancient paintings. The stairs were covered with a rich red color carpet. The whole castle was oozing out its richness and royalty.
There were beautiful carvings on the walls. Like the ones that make you feel alive. And paintings. Beautiful ones with supernatural scenes painted in them. Of wolves & jungle & riverside views. They seemed to come alive.
When we reached the hall, I stopped myself from getting dizzy & fainting then and there. Hall was full of people, or should I say, beautiful people. There were males, females, elders, children, teenagers... everyone. The wonderful thing was, they all were beautiful. Each and every person looked like he or she was a fairy from heaven.
And their center of attention was clearly me. I strangely came to a conclusion that they had gathered here just to meet me? Their curious, intruding gazes scared me a lot. I was never a fan of being the object of attention.
I squirmed a little and inched closer to Kai. Right now the only shield I could find was him so I tried to hide behind him. I was never a fan of being a staring object. My eyes were searching for Christian. Even though I was scared & angry, I still wanted some moral support. But he was nowhere in my sight.
Kai's grip tightened on my hand as he pulled me to his side once again. He gave an encouraging smile to me. When I glanced towards the crowd of the hall, everyone was smiling at me. Now that they had a bit of nice expressions on their faces, I managed to feel a bit less nervous. Gathering all the courage and strength inside me I straightened and came to stand beside Kai. I hesitantly smiled back at the people.
"Everyone, meet our respected & beautiful Luna. Her name is Ava." Kai announced to the crowd.
Everyone clapped cheerfully for at least five seconds. Once the hollering and cheering died down they started coming forward one by one to introduce themselves to me. All I could do was reply with a 'Hi' and smile to them.
Shit! He does not leave even one chance to break my heart in pieces. I was already feeling upset and angry when he did not come to introduce me to my new surroundings and now this? How could he expect me to believe him and accept him as my soulmate when he himself can not control his body from behaving like a male slut.
My eyes collided with his green ones, blaming him for the things that I could never say out loud in front of him. But to my shock, he was looking angry. As in.. so so so much angry.
Now, why the hell is he angry? It should be me who has a right to get angry in this situation. I thought as frustration filled me at his strange attitude.
He threw the girl who was in his arms aside and stomped towards me. I got scared immediately watching him stomp towards me. After seeing him in his wolf form, his anger filled me with fear. I did not know what he could do, what he could force upon me. He stormed forward until he was face to face with me. And then snatching my hand out of Kai's grasp harshly, he started pulling me with him upstairs.
