Domineering Love novel Chapter 19

The middle-aged man stood up and humbly apologized to Robert Williams, “I'm sorry. This is really a misunderstanding, Mr. Williams. You can take them away. I swear I haven't done anything to these girls...”

Robert Williams stepped forward, putting his long arm around her waist and his other hand on her flushed cheek.

"Are you hurt?" He spoke in a low, husky voice, drunker in the darkness than she ever had been.

The aftershock of the alcohol made Elizabeth feel dizzy, and even her vision became blurred. All she saw was the handsome profile of the man, too good to be true.

She shook her head, mumbling something vaguely.

Now that she was all right, Robert Williams took her in his arms and carried her out of the room.

Ann Charke followed, cautiously following this remarkable man.

She could not help observing the man in secret, and could not guess how Elizabeth had made his acquaintance.

At the front of the car, Ann Charke was about to speak when she heard the man's deep, magnetic voice whisper, “Ann from The Charke family, right? Do you want me to send you a car home?”

Ann Charke looked at his face and then at Elizabeth, who was half drunk, in his arms.

“Don't bother. I can get back myself, but Elizabeth…”

Robert Williams opened the door of the car, pushed the woman in his arms into the car, and then sat down with her, then he said casually as he closed the door, “I'll take her home. It's getting late. Take care, Miss Charke.”

Ann Charke stood stunned as the car sped away, either in shock or in the presence of the man.

Elizabeth had drunk two full glasses of liquors, and now the alcohol was working its way through her system. She could hardly sit still. As the car moved off, she banged against the side door by the head.

Robert Williams put his hand over her head and pulled her into his arms.

When he looked at her flushed face and frowning, as if she were very uncomfortable, he felt distressed. So he reached for a bottle of water, unscrewed the lid and fed it to her lips, then gave her a hangover cure.

Elizabeth, unconscious and restless as a Suckling cat, rubbed herself unconsciously against his thigh.

The body of a girl is especially warm and soft after drinking. He rolled his Adam's apple and asked hoarsely, "Why did you come to that place? Do you have any idea how dangerous it was just now?"

Elizabeth's head ached and she did not want to talk.

Since she refused to speak, he pinched her cheek and said seriously, "be good."

“I… I went there to help Ann Charke to look for Marvin Bennett…”

Robert Williams looked very serious, and he asked solemnly, “You came to my place to look for Marvin Bennett? Are you out of your mind?"
