In the end, I didn't say a word. The two of us returned to Evie's house in silence.
As soon as she opened the door, Evie came over. She saw Dylan and I coming back with a smile, but when she saw my clothes, her smile froze on her face.
This shirt was worn by Brandon yesterday. Evie must remember it. After all, Brandon was the kind of man who attracted everyone's attention.
"Hollie, you're back."
Evie held my hand, and the expression on her face became a little unnatural.
"Yes, I'm back. Evie, are you alright? Does your face still hurt?"
Although it had been a night, Evie's face was still terribly swollen, and there was even a bruise on the corner of her mouth.
This was all done by that woman and Gabriel. This shameless couple had gone too far.
"I'm fine. I'm much better now. It's you who got you into trouble for nothing. If it weren't for me, your face wouldn't have become like this. It's all my fault."
Evie gave me a hug and looked at me guiltily.
"It doesn't matter. We're good friends. Of course, we can enjoy the blessings together. If we have difficulties, we can do it together. Watching you being bullied for nothing, do I have to sit back and watch?"
Although I was beaten, I didn't feel wronged, because it was for the sake of Evie, my best friend.
"Mr. Moss, you're here too."
Looking at my neck, the smile on her face became a little stiff. Then she looked at Dylan and greeted him.
"Well, I called her again and again, but no one answered, so I came to see her. I happened to see her coming back when I was downstairs."
Dylan's tone was faint, and there was no smile on his face.
"I called you last night because..."
"Hollie. You'd better take a shower and change your clothes first."
I was going to explain, but before I could finish my words, I was interrupted by Dylan. He still cared about my clothes, and he asked me to take a shower. Did he think I was dirty?
However, he could understand this thought. His woman had been slept with another man. Any man would think that she was dirty, wouldn't he?
However, Dylan's attitude made me dislike him very much. I knew it was my fault, but I would rather he quarreled with me and scolded me. I didn't like his cold violence.
"Yeah, don't worry. You'd better take a shower. Look at how embarrassed you are now."
Evie was the one who knew me best. She knew that I was dissatisfied with Dylan. When I wanted to kill him or something, he quickly stood up and pushed me into the bathroom.
Evie locked me in the bathroom, and I calmed down a lot. I kept telling myself in my heart that I should endure it. Anyway, things had become like this. It was reasonable for Dylan to be angry. If he was not angry, I should be anxious.
I opened the shower and kept washing my body, feeling more and more annoyed. I really didn't know how to deal with my relationship with Brandon and Dylan.
Half an hour later, I changed into my clothes and walked out of the bathroom. Brandon was still talking to Dylan in the living room.
