Don’t Fall for the Billionaire Lover novel Chapter 797

Claire was shaking with anger. This was not how she’d expected things to turn out. When Connor had taken her spot, she hadn't felt this furious. She knew Connor had twisted the arms of some shareholders to get their votes. It was a rookie move, just a slip on her part. And yet, weren’t those same shareholders backing her now?

But now, she realized she didn’t know Connor at all. He was a master strategist, launching the DreamMaker project right after he took over. He’d built a team for this project years in advance, pouring heaps of money into its development. Even with her eagle eye on him, she hadn’t picked up on a thing. Just like this time around. She thought she’d swiped his most crucial data, only to find he’d already moved on to a more advanced version.

The Connor she once knew had been hiding in plain sight. His eyes were as cold as ever: “I really should thank my darling sister for her 'mentorship.'”

“Connor, don’t get too cocky,” Claire struggled to keep her composure.

“Sis, our bet is still on, right? I won’t hesitate to claim that twenty percent share from you.”

Connor motioned, and a lawyer stepped forward, holding a document and a pen.

“Ms. Claire, here’s the share transfer agreement.”

Claire knew that losing those twenty percent shares would make it tough to hold her ground against Connor in the future. She ripped the document to pieces. “Shares aren’t something you can just hand over like a toy. Do you think this is some kind of game?”

Connor kept his cool, his lips curling into a smirk. “So, you’re going to play dirty?”
