His expression wasn't just serious—it was filled with urgency, pain, and a deep-seated fear. They'd never seen such a look on their parents' faces before.
Neil broke the silence, “Chloe is actually your biological sister.”
Everyone was completely floored.
“Sister, what sister?” they stammered in disbelief.
Ruby’s eyes glistened with tears. “Yes, Chloe is my biological child—the one I carried for nine months and gave birth to. She's your blood-related sister.”
The Shaw brothers were dumbstruck.
For a moment, everything seemed surreal. “What’s going on? How did we not know we had a sister?”
They were clueless about having a sister all this time.
Neil explained, “Twenty-four years ago, we had a baby girl, but she passed away less than a day after she was born. Your mother and I were devastated, and it took us ages to move on. At that time, Kash was in military school, Isaac was overseas, and Parker and Wayne, you both were just kids. We never told you, so you didn’t know you had a sister.”
The brothers were left speechless.
Wayne asked, “If our sister passed away, how could Chloe be her?”
Winston seemed to have a lightbulb moment: “Chloe and Lisa were swapped by John. It’s clear Lisa is the Meadows' kid, but Chloe might not be John and Ann's. Could it be that John didn’t just swap two families’ babies, but three?”
