Chapter 93

Xena’s POV

In an instant, my eyes flew open. Ryder leaned down to kiss me, but instinctively turned my head away.

“Whoa!” I exclaimed, my attention completely diverted.

“What’s wrong?” Ryder’s expression fell, a flash of hurt crossing his features.

Ryder closed his eyes, and when he opened them again, they had returned to normal. Without a word, he grabbed my shampoo and began massaging it into my hair.
