Don't Try to Escape, My Wife! novel Chapter 1139

"What's going on?"

Nicole stood up and Samuel looked a little grave.

The two of them quickly ran out.

Joseph was directly thrown to the floor outside by Lucas and bumped into the cabinet at the side. The cabinet banged because of the impact, which attracted Nicole and Samuel.

When they saw that Joseph was thrown out by Lucas, Nicole immediately felt heartache.

"Joseph, are you okay? Does it hurt? Let Mommy see if you are injured."

Joseph felt that his entire body was about to fall apart.

He had just fallen asleep and hadn’t expected that Lucas had actually woken up and threw him out without saying a word.

His butt really hurt.

"Mommy, I'm fine. Go and see Lucas."

As soon as Joseph finished speaking, Samuel arrived at Lucas' room. He saw Lucas sitting in front of the computer, opening the game interface and playing the game crazily. He didn't seem to feel anything about what he had just done.

Samuel frowned slightly.

"What are you doing?"

Lucas only glanced at Samuel, then turned around and continued to play the game without saying a word.

Possessed by his second personality, Lucas, was still indifferent.

Nicole did not dare to let Joseph and Lucas stay together anymore. She hurriedly carried Joseph back to her room and called Ashley overnight to ask her to come over and take a look at Joseph.

After Ashley arrived, she checked Joseph and made sure that he was fine. Only then did Nicole let out a sigh of relief.

"What happened?"

Ashley was slightly surprised.

Nicole didn’t want to tell her about that. She only said that Joseph fell off the bed when he slept. She was afraid that he would get hurt so she asked her to come over and give him a check.

Since Joseph was fine, Ashley went back.

Samuel stayed at the door of Lucas' room for an entire night.

Lucas didn't say anything. He just played online games on the computer until the day broke. He walked to the bed and fell asleep.

Samuel walked over to see Lucas. He really fell asleep.

He adjusted his son’s sleeping position and covered him with a quilt before leaving Lucas' room.

What happened last night was terrible.

Samuel came out and realized that Nicole had not slept all night.

Nicole's face was somewhat pale, and there were some dark circles under her eyes. She looked quite pitiful.

"Go to sleep. Edwin just asked us to move over today. He didn't say the exact time. Go back to sleep first. I'll call you later."

Hearing that, Nicole shook her head.

"I'm not sleepy."

It had been a long time since she stayed up and kept a clear mind like this.

Nicole looked at Samuel and smiled, "You go to sleep. Lucas needs our care. We can't fall ill. Why don't we just take turns?"

"Are you all right?"

Samuel was very worried about this.

"I’m okay. I slept for a while and just woke up. You should go and rest. Or I'll get you something to eat."

As she spoke, Nicole was about to get up, but she was stopped by Samuel.

"Have a rest. I'll go to sleep."

Samuel didn’t have any appetite.

It was really heartrending to see his own son to be like this.

Seeing Samuel return to his room, Nicole sighed and got up to go to Lucas' room.

She looked at her sleeping son and thought of his thoughtfulness in the past. She regretted sending Lucas to the military again.

Her child was still so young, but he had witnessed the cruelty of war too early. As his parents, they were too cruel.

With that thought in mind, Nicole picked up Lucas and hugged him on her lap. She patted his body gently as if he was a baby.

Lucas slept for about three hours before suddenly opening his eyes.

He immediately saw Nicole looking at him affectionately. Seeing the dark circles under her eyes, he frowned slightly.

"Mommy?"

"Oh, Lucas. Are you hungry? Mommy will make you something delicious."

Nicole smiled faintly.

Lucas shook his head.

"I'm not hungry. I'm just a little tired. I’m aching all over."

"You played the game all night. That’s why you’re aching. Come, Mommy will give you a massage."

As she spoke, Nicole rubbed Lucas' arm.

Lucas was confused for a moment.

He played the game all night?

Why didn't he remember?

He subconsciously looked at the computer. The game interface was still on it. That game was indeed his favorite.

Lucas frowned slightly.

"Mommy, I'm a little hungry. I want to eat porridge with preserved eggs and minced pork."

Lucas' sudden words surprised Nicole, but she said happily, "Alright, rest for a while. Mommy will make it for you."

After saying that, Nicole went to the kitchen without any hesitation.

Lucas got up and went to Joseph's room.

Joseph was still asleep, but he always felt that there was someone staring at him, which scared him.
