“Mrs. Bradford, I am not sick.”
Lucas thought for a while and replied.
The way Ashley looked at him seemed to speak even more volumes now.
Men would typically deny their incompetence.
Whatever it was.
Seeing that Yasmeen had fallen deeply for Lucas, she reluctantly prescribed some medication for him.
“Head to the pharmacy and grab these. Don’t forget to take them on time. Do what I said if you truly care about Yasmeen.”
Ashley finished the prescription and handed it to Lucas.
Lucas was a little confused, he couldn't help but pause when he heard it was about Yasmeen.
Yasmeen donated a kidney to Lucas, and she was about to have another operation. Could this prescription be for drugs to help with transplant rejection?
Lucas frowned upon the handwriting on the prescription note though. Doctors’ handwriting was hard to read.
Lucas gave up. He took the prescription with him. And Ashley said, “Get out and pick up your medication as soon as possible. Don’t make Yasmeen worried.”
“Sure.”
Lucas exited Ashley’s office very cleverly.
Seeing Lucas off, Ashley frowned her brows slightly.
How come such a handsome young man was incompetent?
Lucas couldn’t figure out what his future mother-in-law meant. He took the prescription to the Pharmacy anyways.
It was a lady on duty at the Pharmacy. When she took a look at the prescription, she couldn’t help drifting her eyes to Lucas.
A pretty face like that wasn’t competent in his bedroom, was he?
The pharmacy lady signed. Lucas couldn’t look straight at her look and gesture of regret.
Was there something wrong with him?
Lucas couldn’t believe that lady was sympathizing with him.
The warmth of Lucas’s voice faded instantly.
“What was that look you had at me just now?”
The murderous atmosphere spread around Lucas, and the nurse on duty suddenly shuddered in fright.
“What are you doing? It was just an erection dysfunction. Why stare at me with that threatening look? I can’t make you great in bed again.”
Lucas twitched the corners of his mouth and immediately asked, “What are you talking about?”
“I know this is a matter of personal privacy, and no one will hear about it from me. Don’t worry about it. These drugs are great, if you take them on time as prescribed, you should be back at your best self in no time.”
The nurse comforted him kindly. After all, Lucas was good-looking, and she was such a face-judger.
Now Lucas finally understood her words.
He said with anger, “Are you saying that this prescription helps with male incompetence?”
“Yes, wasn’t that prescribed by Dr. Ashley herself?”
Nurse’s words struck Lucas like lighting.
His future mother-in-law thought he couldn’t do it?
How in the world did she jump to the conclusion?
Was she able to tell from observing one’s face?
Lucas pulled over the prescription directly, and said coldly, “There are some mistakes on the prescription.”
He turned and left after saying so, but he could hear the nurse whisper behind his back, “Seriously, he just hides his sickness for the fear of treatment. I’ve seen tens of patients like this and almost all of them were saying the prescriptions were written wrong. It’s a shame though, what a pretty face he has...”
Lucas staggered under his feet. How he wished he could go back and block her mouth.
He was incompetent?
Come on!
Where did this rumor come from?
Lucas angrily took the prescription and went downstairs. He saw Patrick tapping the door panel saying, “My dear sister, let me in. My sister-in-law isn’t here, even if he is, it wouldn’t matter to have me there. Open up! Mom wants you to get ready for the operation.”
“Go away!”
Yasmeen shouted.

The book is slow....too many words are wasted to explain...need a better translator.......
God I want to read the book but it's freaking annoying, Samuel Green, Nicole Bush, Lucas Bush, Jacob Brown in every line.....I hope this author grows...the book would have been okay but it's affecting my mood...
Does the author have write the full names of the characters all the time...it's annoying...we are reading the book, we know their surnames already.......
What is it with Chinese authors. The characters are slow, he finally opened his mouth, it took him so long just to say two words...the house keeper would have put the person out before he even spoke....is this really how people are over there..the characters are always lost in thought, they might as well live in their heads.....
