Time flew past and the two weren't kids anymore, one was seventeen while the other was twelve already. Many things changed, the way they looked and the way they were addressed in society but what didn't change was the way they treated each other.
Six years later in the same school premises, a guy went crashing against the wall while his classmate stood dumbstruck, too afraid to do or say anything. The boy who was sent crashing went numb with pain as he shot a fearful glance at the one who did this to him... Ryan, in the school uniform but without his jacket stood there correcting a black band in his hands. Even though his face was calm and collected one could easily see the anger dancing on his face, he grabbed the latter's collar and pulled him up in the air. With his handsome face just a few inches away from his Ryan spoke out, "You must have some guts to flirt with the woman I love."
The students who were witnessing the fight heard what Ryan just said and started to chatter amongst themselves, the most popular opinion being that she was his bottom line and it has been challenged by this new transfer student, now nobody could save him.
Ryan fist his hands before throwing another punch at his face, he sat down on him and went on bashing him until...
"Ryan, this is your final- final warning! If you go around beating up people again I will have to take severe actions!" The principal said sternly looking at the two boys, while one had only dirtied his shirt the other had a wound on his forehead which was secured with bandages.
Ryan simply unheard the principal's warning and went on nodding before the head finally let him go. After the two students left there was a newly joined Asian teacher who walked in. He asked, "Sir, I have seen this fellow frequenting to your office for the bully and beating up kids. Why do you always let him go with a warning without taking any action?"
"Are you crazy?" The principal worked up before hushing him down, "You are new here, right, that's why you don't know. His father is a famous mob, they work as drug dealers and paid assassins. They are really dangerous people and the goon who just left the office is the future boss of that clan! IRS not healthy to offend them..."
After the two boys came out Ryan gave him a last warning, "There are many girls on the campus and I don't care who you fool around with but... She is mine and thus, stay away from her." The latter was too afraid to say something and ran away nodding; Ryan walked up to the end of the corridor and reached the stairs when he saw a familiar figure sitting there. His anger melted down and affection started to cloud his face, feeling a presence behind her Catherine slowly turned her head to meet her eyes with Ryan's.
"Ryan! You came back?" She stood up and dusted off her skirt smiling at him. She had grown up so much and looked no more like a five-year-old yet had Ryan still madly in love with her. He grunted before descending down the stairs and started walking away with her. She asked, "Did the principal say anything?"
"Nope! He just gave me a final warning."
