Chapter 223
This visit was mainly to discuss the finer details of the project with Vanguard’s representative.
The project lead from Walton Corporation was none other than Aurora’s most die–hard fan, Kelvin Gill.
The moment he saw her, he was so overwhelmed he could barely form a sentence.
He wanted to shake her hand but hesitated for so long he looked like he was stuck.
Aurora, seeing that, offered her hand first. “You’re Kelvin Gill, right? I’ve heard about you.
“You’re in charge of this project. You’ve been thorough and meticulous. Keep it up!”
Kelvin covered his mouth in disbelief. “Oh my God, I can’t believe I’m meeting you in person.”
Aurora couldn’t help but let out a small laugh at that.
Realizing how awkward it sounded, Kelvin quickly tried to correct himself. “I mean… you’re like a legend to us.
“I wouldn’t even be leading this project if it weren’t for you securing it. Really, I owe it to you.‘
Aurora smiled and said, “Alright, enough with the flattery. The project’s in your hands now, and I trust you. We’re all in this for a
win-win.”
“When we head to Vanguard later, make sure to stay sharp. We’re the professionals here.”
Kelvin nodded solemnly. “Got it. You can count on me!”
He had spent all of last night going over his notes, determined to make sure today’s meeting would go perfectly.
When they arrived at Vanguard, a receptionist was already waiting at the entrance to greet them.
It was the same familiar front desk with the same official smile.
“Miss Walton, correct?”
As Aurora and Kelvin stepped into the lobby, someone immediately came over to receive them.
Kelvin was a little stunned by the treatment.
After all, their monthly salaries were likely equivalent to what he earned over the course of several months–if not more.
Yet here they were, giving them such serious attention.
That made Kelvin’s heart race even more.
Aurora, however, was used to this sort of reception.
She nodded calmly. “I’m Aurora Walton. I’ve already arranged a meeting with your project manager. Would you please let them

know we’ve arrived?”
“Of course.”
After waiting a few moments, Aurora and Kelvin were led to the elevators.
When they stepped out, Aurora spotted a familiar figure surrounded by a group of people.
She recognized him instantly–Lucas.
He stood out too easily, not just because of his looks, but the commanding presence around him.
Aurora’s gaze locked onto him without hesitation.
This time, she didn’t hold back.
She followed Lucas‘ steps, wanting to know what was going on.
The receptionist, alarmed, moved quickly to stop her but wasn’t fast enough.
