Chapter 302
Both of them turned their heads at the same time, only to see Tessa standing there, her face blazing with anger, with Rachel trailing right behind her.
Aurora arched an eyebrow, instinctively glancing at Julian.
Was this their setup?
How else could it be such a convenient coincidence?
Tessa just happened to show up with Rachel and caught her fiancé with another woman, right in the act?
The whole scene looked suspiciously like a premeditated ambush.
So naturally, Aurora began to suspect a trap.
But just a second later, she realized she might have been wrong.
Jur–Tessa.
“T–Tessa… what are you doing here?” Julian stammered, more panicked than Aurora.
He was clearly even more rattled by Tessa’s sudden appearance.
Damn it. Why did she have to show up now?
He hadn’t even figured out how to bring this up to her, and now she’d caught him red–handed.
Sweat beaded on his forehead as his mind raced for a way out.
Tessa marched toward them with Rachel in tow, her eyes flashing with unmistakable jealousy.
But on the surface, she kept her tone to simple questioning.
“You’re asking me why I’m here? Shouldn’t I be the one asking what the hell you’re doing behind my back?”
Rachel chimed in right on cue. “Exactly. Don’t tell me there’s someone here who still doesn’t know Julian is Tessa’s fiancé?”
She cast a mocking glance at Aurora, sizing her up.
As much as she disliked this woman, even Rachel had to admit that Aurora was stunning.
With nothing more than light makeup, she still radiated elegance. She looked detached from all the drama yet somehow commanded all the attention in the room.
Aurora raised a brow again and lazily shifted her gaze to Rachel.
So, this woman still had the nerve to show her face?
And still followed Tessa around like some clueless sidekick?
Was this woman actually an idiot?
“What’s wrong? Already forgot how painful it was last time?” Aurora’s voice was calm and unhurried, but it was enough to shut Rachel up immediately.
She hadn’t forgotten the way Aurora had put her in her place the last time.
She only dared to open her mouth just now because she had Tessa to back her up. A classic case of bullying under someone else’s
name.
Rachel mumbled a weak rebuttal, “Well, you were in the wrong to begin with. Don’t act like you’ve got the moral high ground!”
Julian had initially been worried that Tessa might embarrass him in public.
But after observing for a bit, he realized all they were doing was bickering,
Nothing too dramatic was actually happening
And strangely enough, having three women focused on him this way stirred something smug inside him.
