Chapter 74
Julian strode over to Tessa’s side, his face full of concern. “Tessa, are you okay?”
“You’ve always been frail. Don’t cry anymore, alright? Seeing you like this makes me feel awful too.” He reassured her again and
again.
“Don’t worry. There’s nothing between Aurora and me. I only see her as a sister because of you.”
Grace stood on Tessa’s other side, equally focused on her daughter’s health.
In contrast, Aurora was painted as nothing more than a spiteful villain in this scene.
At that moment, something clicked in Aurora’s mind.
She had thought that staying out of their drama would be enough.
But clearly, these people had a talent for being insufferable, one after another throwing themselves in her way.
“Alright, Julian.” Aurora curled her lips in a mocking smile and nodded.
“You really know how to talk. Even now, you still won’t admit it.”
“What exactly do you want me to admit? Can’t you see how upset Tessa is? How can you still be so unreasonable?”
Hearing this, Grace gave Aurora a disapproving look.
Compared to Tessa’s frail and pitiful appearance, Aurora indeed seemed reckless and unreasonable.
“Enough. What more is there to say at this point?”
Right now, Grace just wanted to put an end to this mess.
But Aurora calmly pulled out her phone, her smile composed and confident. “Mom, what do you think I have to say? Obviousl
I’m going to show you what the so–called truth really is.”
The moment she said this, Julian visibly panicked.
His eyes locked onto the phone in her hand, his anxiety clear.
Aurora noticed his reaction instantly, catching the unease in his expression.
She took her time, speaking slowly and deliberately. “That’s right. It’s exactly what you think it is.”
“Aurora, do you really have to make such a scene?”
A cold glint flashed in her eyes. “Isn’t this exactly what you wanted? You forced me into this. I gave you a chance, my dear
brother–in–law.”

Tessa looked at Julian in confusion.
It was just a phone–why was he so flustered?
Her gaze wavered.
Was Julian lying just now?
Even Grace picked up on Julian’s unnatural reaction.
At that moment, all eyes were fixed on Aurora’s phone.
She raised an eyebrow before tapping the screen without hesitation.
Julian’s slightly drunken voice rang out from the recording.
“Give me a chance… As long as you’re willing…”
“Honestly, I really like you…”
“I mean it…”
His voice was unmistakably clear, as were Aurora’s repeated rejections.
Even through the phone, it was easy to imagine just how firm and unwavering her refusals had been.
Julian’s hands clenched into fists, his face turning pale before flushing red with fury.
He never expected this wretched woman to record their conversation.
