Chapter 96
“Please, Miss Walton, forgive me! I was wrong–I swear, it won’t happen again!”
“Oh? There will be a next time?”
Aurora narrowed her sharp eyes slightly, her expression unmoved by Linda’s desperate pleas.
She was no saint.
If she hadn’t been prepared, she might not have been able to turn the situation around today.
And what if the person Linda had tried to replace wasn’t her, but some inexperienced intern? That person’s career might have been completely ruined.
At that thought, a cold light flashed in Aurora’s eyes.
Linda frantically shook her head. “No, no, Miss Walton! This was the only time, I swear! I’ll never do it again!”
Tears and snot streamed down her face as she sobbed.
But not a single person in the room spoke up for her.
Clearly, she wasn’t well–liked to begin with.
Lucy, on the other hand, felt incredibly satisfied.
She had been itching to speak up earlier, but Aurora had held her back.
Now, she realized Aurora had been saving this as her final move.
Aurora yanked her sleeve free from Linda’s grasp and turned to the manager. “Since Linda seems genuinely remorseful, I suppose we can give her a chance.”
Linda barely had time to feel hopeful before Aurora’s chilling voice followed.
“Fire her. And blacklist her from the industry.”
She enunciated every word with deliberate coldness.
Linda felt as if she had been struck by lightning.
Her legs gave out as she collapsed to the floor, her face drained of color.
This time, she was truly finished.
She had lost everything.
Not only that, but if she was blacklisted from the industry, she wouldn’t even have the chance to join another company.

Ben’s eyes lit up–this was indeed a brilliant idea.
“Alright, we’ll do exactly as you say.”

As Aurora walked past Linda, heading back to her seat, she didn’t expect Linda to suddenly spring up and lunge at her, claws aiming straight for her face.
“You heartless bitch, Aurora!” Linda shrieked hysterically. “You’ll die a horrible death! If I can’t have peace, then let’s both go down together!”
A cold glint flashed in Aurora’s eyes as she swiftly dodged the attack.
Linda, having missed her target, crashed face–first onto the floor, landing in an utterly humiliating heap.
“Are you looking for trouble?” Aurora narrowed her eyes at her.
Everyone in the room watched the scene unfold like an entertaining spectacle.
They had almost forgotten–Aurora once took down Chuck with a single throw.
