"Thea, tell me, who am I?" Nicolas asked, his voice low.
Thea winced from the pain, letting out a small sound as she tried to pull away.
"Who am I?" Nicolas refused to release his grip, his tone stubborn.
"You're Nic..." Before Thea could finish, urgent knocking interrupted them.
It was Darwin. "Mr. Hendrix, the doctor is here," he said.
Nicolas' emotions instantly withdrew, and he returned to his usual cold and distant demeanor. His chest rose and fell twice before finally letting go of Thea's hand, his face dark as he opened the door.
Seeing a few buttons on Nicolas' shirt had been torn open, Darwin broke into a cold sweat. 'What the hell! It looks like I came at the wrong time,' he thought.
Nicolas turned and grabbed the coat from the chair, his voice slightly cold. "Let the doctor take care of things. I'm leaving."

The next morning, Thea woke up with her head still feeling foggy. She checked her clothes quickly, remembering how she had been drugged by Liam the night before.
Thankfully, everything was intact. But what had happened after? Thea tried to recall, but there was nothing.
Suddenly, the door opened, and Nicolas walked in. Thea sat up immediately, asking, "Mr. Hendrix? Why are you here?"
Nicolas looked at her with an unreadable expression. "You don't remember last night?"
Thea shook her head as if part of her memory was missing. She wanted to ask what had happened, but seeing Nicolas' slightly displeased expression, she decided against it.
Then Nicolas tossed a set of clothes onto the bed and said, "Get dressed. We're heading back to Key Biskane."
"Okay," Thea replied.
Watching Nicolas' back as he walked away, Thea felt a sense of unease. 'Why does it seem like he's in a bad mood today?' she thought.
On the way back, Darwin gave Thea a brief rundown of what had happened the night before.
Someone noticed that something was off between her and Liam, and they stepped in to stop it, calling the police. Afterward, she was taken to the hospital.
For Liam, he had been kicked out of the Virtuex Group and was now in custody.
Hearing that, Thea finally let out a sigh of relief. But she noticed Darwin giving her a strange look.
"Ms. Rowland, you really don't remember anything from last night?" Darwin asked.
Thea shook her head. The drug Liam used must have been illegal, with serious effects. Whenever she tried to recall the events of the night, a splitting headache would stop her.
Since she had been rescued, and Liam was punished, it didn't matter what had happened.
Darwin coughed awkwardly, suddenly feeling a bit sorry for his boss. 'Poor guy has been taken advantage of, and the next day, the person responsible doesn't even remember. Truly pitiful.'
That afternoon, they arrived back in Key Biskane. Thea wasn't in a rush to go to the office, and she decided to stop by Nicolas' place first.
Unexpectedly, the hotel front desk called to inform Thea that she had left something behind. So she had no choice but to head over there.
Just as Thea arrived in the lobby, a sudden flurry of footsteps sounded behind her. In no time, she was surrounded by bodyguards.
"So, you know you did something wrong and tried to hide? Do you really think I can't find you?" Max approached, his face dark with anger.
Thea's expression hardened immediately. "What do you want?" she asked.
