Natalia showed no mercy.
"I'll call Alden to look after you!"
Hamilton's face was a picture of dissatisfaction.
"Like I need his babysitting?"
Natalia gave him a sidelong glance. "Hamilton, can you promise not to lay a finger on me if I stay?"
Hamilton embraced her. "I promise."
Natalia chuckled and then pushed him out of the car.
"Your promises mean jack now!"
With that, she drove off, leaving him behind.
She needed a break, or this jerk would drive her to an early grave.
Hamilton watched her car disappear, his lips twitching slightly.
But soon, his gaze hardened again.
Actually, it was better Natalia didn't stick around, he had business to attend to tonight.
He pulled out his phone and called Alden.
"Pick me up."
When Alden arrived, they headed straight to the Fowler Mansion.
On the way, Alden couldn't help but speak up.
"I interrogated those two guys; they said Patrick sent them."
Hamilton scoffed.
"Unless Patrick's lost his mind, he wouldn't dare mess with me directly. But he's definitely involved. Send those two to the police, and get Patrick in there too!"
After a pause, he added, "Keep Eveleen out of this. We don't need her worrying about Patrick's mess. It's just more trouble."
Alden frowned, as if he wanted to say something but eventually held back, only asking.
"So, if it wasn't Patrick, could it really be Orpheus?"
Hamilton remained silent.
A good beating never hurt anyone.
Either way, if that guy could get in touch with Orpheus's close aides, he must be connected somehow.
Upon reaching the Fowler Mansion, Hamilton stormed directly to Orpheus's room.
Orpheus was lounging in a rocking chair, a pretty nanny feeding him grapes, when suddenly, the door was kicked open.
The nanny screamed, grapes scattering all over the floor.
Orpheus's face turned ashen.
"Hamilton, what the hell do you want?"
Without a word, Hamilton kicked him to the floor, then crouched down, looking at the now pale-faced Orpheus.
"Orpheus, you think you can send people to kill me?"
Orpheus's face darkened even more. "Hamilton, you're talking nonsense! When have I ever tried to kill you?"
Hamilton sneered. "That guy Quill, he's not your man? He almost had me today."
Orpheus looked shocked. "Impossible! I haven't been in touch with him lately."
Hamilton's eyes flashed coldly. "Oh, then who else could order him around?"
"How the hell would I know? Maybe he's seeking revenge for the last time you beat him up!"
Hamilton stood up and kicked him again.
"Think it over. Let me know if you remember anything, or I'll have to pin this on you!"
Outside, he told Alden.
"Keep an eye on him, see who he contacts."
Alden nodded.
Hamilton, wiping his hands, headed out.
Just as he reached the door, someone stopped him.
"Young master, the old man wants to see you."
Hamilton's face darkened instantly.
"What for?"
The butler paused before answering, "The Powell family has come knocking."
Meanwhile, Scarlett left the hospital ward only to run into Elliott Lehner.
Seeing her, Elliott followed.
Scarlett's face soured at the sight of him.
"Why are you always following me? Haven't had enough of the urology ward last time?"
Mentioning the previous incident made Elliott fume.
"Scarlett, you knew I was fine, yet you sent me to urology. Do you have any idea how that Ryan of yours acted like a freak and pulled down my pants?"
