Allison’s mind went blank upon seeing those. Had she discovered Alexander’s secret? She felt guilty at once. Although she did not do it on purpose, it was undoubtedly immoral to spy on other’s privacy. Without having the time to think more, she wanted to restore the photo and the card yet because of her shaky hands due to nervousness, she did not succeed at once.
“What are you doing?” A cold voice rang behind her. Allison shuddered and the frame in her hand dropped once again. However it did not fall onto the ground this time but was caught by Alexander instead. Allison turned around and met Alexander’s cold eyes. She was no nervous that her throat constricted. “I’m sorry. I didn’t mean to do that.” She did not mean to enter his study room and definitely did not mean to peek at his secrets. She wondered whether he would believe her.
“Get out.” Although he had lowered his voice, it was not hard to discern the anger from his tone of voice. Allison’s heart leaped. She had angered him once more. It seemed like it was an important thing to him.
She blamed herself while closing the door and carried her things downstairs. Bernard had already placed all the dishes brought on the table. Seeing her carrying the box, he asked, “Missus, may I know what are you doing?”
“I’m looking for the storage room,” Allison answered honestly. “The storage room is at the attic,” Bernard replied. Attic? Allison was slightly confused as she had not seen any attic. “Let me take care of this, missus.” Bernard took the box over from her and said, “Do help yourself with the food, missus, these are all…”
