Chapter 253
Zoe did not want to hear anymore.
The sound of Elliot and Avery getting on was reminding her, so what if you‘re Elliot‘s girlfriend? He‘ll always love Avery no matter what!
She sat on the sofa. She felt part of her died today and her body froze.
At 2 a.m. in the morning, the bedroom door was finally opened. Avery dragged her body out of the room. She stood frozen as she saw Zoe.
“Miss Tate, how did my boyfriend fare?” Zoe‘s voice trembled as she looked at Avery full of hate, “Can’t believe I left him for no longer than 20 minutes and you snuck in. You knew he was drunk and yet you seduced him! Oh, you‘re cheap!”
Avery tried to explain but nothing will make sense.
She can‘t believe she would be the other woman. It was hypocritical of her.
“I‘m so sorry,” Avery said. “What‘s the use of saying sorry?” Zoe felt tears streaming down from the corners of her eyes. “At least I got together after your divorce. Miss Tate, I‘ve never hurt you before. Why did you hurt me?” Zoe cried.
“I‘m sorry.” Avery walked to her side and apologized again.
“I‘ll pretend nothing happened tonight. You can‘t tell anyone about it, including him! I will tell him the same when he wakes up,” Zoe mocked Avery as she looked up at her, “Who knows, he might not even remember anything. He was drunk after all.”
“Alright.” Avery left as she said.
She walked out of the hotel room and felt a sharp breeze of the wind. She hugged herself for warmth, looked up, and breathed deeply.
She felt confused and agonized. Yet she wasn‘t allowed to talk about it to anyone. Avery sat by the roadside. She did not feel like going home or getting a room from this hotel.
