“You’re a grown–up already. Yet you’re giving a child a hard time?” Dwayne said.
Dorothy was stunned. She knew he wouldn’t believe her, but hearing him take Sonia and Brenden’s side so bluntly still hurt her.
She blinked, not letting her tears fall out. “I didn’t push him.“]
Dwayne sneered, “Oh, so you’re saying a kid who’s only a few years old deliberately fell to the ground and then framed you?”
Dorothy’s lips trembled.]
She knew he wouldn’t believe her. Why bother explaining at all?]
Lowering her head, she tried her best to regain composure. “My biggest fault today is running into you. I’m free to go, aren’t I?“]]
She turned to leave.

“Stop right there,” Dwayne said.[]
She stopped in her tracks but didn’t look back.
“Brenden is just a child. Don’t make a big deal out of this.” His tone softened. “Just apologize to him.“[]
“Dwayne, forget it. It’s fine…” Sonia said, seemingly speaking up for Dorothy.
